How to fix “Unfortunately Contacts Has Stopped” Error Message on Android:

Below are the different method whom we have tried and they are working 100%. If none of this works for you then you have to flash stock rom using Odin.

Step 1: First goto settings.

Step 2: Open Application Manager.

Step 3: Select the All tab.

Step 4: Tap on Contacts.

Step 5: Now Tap on Clear cache.

Step 6: Now go back to Application manager menu.

Step 7: Tap on Contacts and the tap on Clear Data.

Step 8: Go back to settings menu and tap on date and time, change the format.

Step 9: Perform a factory reset if none of this works for you.

Best Solution:

Google+ was the issue. Fixed it on all 3 phones that I was having a problem with. Droid Maxx and Droid Mini. Disable Google+ and you are good to go.

UnInstalling the updates to the Google+ app fixed my issue with “Unfortunately, contacts has stopped” popup every time I called someone. But, the problem came right back of couese next time the updater ran. You have to disable auto updates. That is in the Google Play app on the Google + app page. Push the 3 vertical dots and then uncheck the “auto update” box.

Disabling google+ and restart your device , This really helped me, i got my contacts back.

If you like to flash new custom or stock Roms frequently on your Android devices then you know the importance of System.img file. Sometime we need to only flash a single module for specific reason, but we cannot find the file from web and all what left is to restore efs backup and flash stock rom again, but not anymore today i’ll tell you how to easily extract files from System.img, i’ve prepared a step by step guide by using it you can extract files from System.img.

How to easily extract files from System.img:

Step #1: Download EXT4 Unpacker on your Windows, now extract it.

Step #2: Now download ext2 explorer on your Windows and extract it.

Step #3: After extracting both packages now we need an MKT based rom, download MKT based rom and extract it.

Step #4: Go to the same location where you’ve extracted EXT4 unpacker, double click on Ext4_Unpacker.exe.

Step #5: Once Ext4_Unpacker windows is opened click on the folder icon to add system.img file.

Step #6: Now that file is loaded, click on the save as Ext4 button.

Step #7: Choose the location where you want to save the files. Click on Save.

Step #8: Wait for the process to be completed, it may take few minutes.

Step #9: Now open ext2explorer and select the Ext4 image file.

Step #10: Once the file is loaded, click on it to highlight then click on the save button.

Step #11: Now choose the location where you wan t o place extracted files.

Step #12: Again you have to wait for ext2explorer’s process to be completed, it may take few minutes.

Step #13: All Done !!!

First you have to disconnect you gaming console from the internet.

Lollipop’s successor the all new Android M was shown of by Google yesterday at its I/O developers keynote conference, 2015. Google isn’t working on the OS makeup this time, but is working on the core enhancements instead. Android M promises new app permissions, new intent settings, a new feature (Doze) to enhance battery life, USB Type-C support, Android Pay and a lot more. While this is going to be a whole new iteration of Android, all the applications that are embedded in the OS are going to be enhanced as well. Android M’s developer preview is now available for Google Nexus 5, 6 & 9, so its a good chance for Android freaks to pull out some of the Android M goodies and have a little touch and feel of Android M on their devices right away.

Some of the applications from Android M have already landed. These included new Google Play Services, the Google App itself and Google Camera. To run any Android M application on your device, you will need to install Android M Google Play Services first of all. Going ahead without installing Play Services will not let you run any other Android M application. As these apps are taken from the developer preview, there’s a great chance of bugs in these applications and we do not guarantee there complete functionality.

We’ve found the download links for the 3 available applications pulled out from Android M. Go ahead, download and install on your device now.

Update T Mobile Xperia Z1s C6916 To Android Lollipop 4.5.B.0.236 Firmware

T-Mobile’s Xperia Z1s started receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The original Xperia Z1 received this update almost a month ago. It took way long for T-Mobile to rollout the latest firmware for its Sony Xperia Z1s users. New update moves the build number from 14.4.B.0.56 to 4.5.B.0.236. This update brings all the Lollipop goodies including Material Design, enhanced security, stability, better battery life, notifications on lock-screen and some other features for the Xperia Z1s. At the moment, it is being rolled out to users through OTA or through Sony PC Companion. But if you haven’t received this update yet and you want to update your Xperia Z1s manually, this guide is going to help you out.

As we move forward, we will install this latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware with the build number 4.5.B.0.236 on our beloved T-Mobile Xperia Z1s C6916. We will use Sony’s flashtool to flash FTF file of the firmware. While you flash this firmware, please be noted that this is the official firmware and it is untouched. It will not void the warranty of your device or result in causing any damage to your device.

Let’s go ahead and install Lollipop on your T-Mobile Xperia Z1s now.

1. This is only for T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z1s C6916

This ROM is only for the device mentioned above. Make sure that your model number matches the one listed above. To do so, go to Settings > About Device on your device and see your model number. Flashing this firmware on any other device will result in bricking it so make sure that you meet this requirement first of all.

2. Battery should be charged at least over 60%.

Make sure that your battery is charged enough to complete the flashing process. In case your battery is low and your device goes dead during the flashing process, you may end up soft bricking your device as it won’t complete the flashing process.

3. Backup everything!

Just to be on the safe side, you may consider backing up each and everything from your Android device. This is highly recommended so that in case anything goes wrong, you still have the access to all of your data and you can restore it immediately. You may backup everything as listed below.

Backup Media – Copy your files manually to your PC or Laptop.

4. Enable USB Debugging Mode on your device.

Enable USB debugging mode on your device. To do so, tap settings>developer options>USB debugging. If you can’t find developer options in settings, then tap settings > about device and tap “Build Number” for 7 times and you’ll get em’ activated under settings.

5. Install and setup Sony Flashtool.

You must have installed Sony Flashtool. Find the full guide here.

After installing Sony Flashtool, open the Flashtool folder from the drive where you installed it. Now open Flashtool>Drivers>Flashtool-drivers.exe and install the Flashtool, Fastboot & Xperia Z1s drivers from the list. [Important]

6. Use OEM data cable to establish connection.

Make sure that you use the phone’s original data cable to establish connection between your phone and the PC. Using a different data cable might result in interrupting the firmware installation.

How To Update T Mobile Xperia Z1s C6916 To Android Lollipop 4.5.B.0.236 Firmware

Before moving forward, please make sure that you’ve read the pre requisites and ensure that you are set to go ahead.

Download the latest firmware Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 4.5.B.0.236 FTF file.
1. For Xperia Z1s C6916 [Generic/Unbranded. Link1 | Create your own FTF using this guide.
Copy the file and paste in Flashtool>Firmwares folder.
Open Flashtool.exe now.
Hit the small lightening button on the top left corner and select Flashmode.
Select the FTF firmware file that you placed in the Firmware folder.
From the right side, select what do you want to wipe. Data, cache and apps log, all wipes are recommended, perhaps you may select if you don’t want.
Click on OK, and it will start preparing the firmware for flashing. This may take a little while to load.
As soon as the firmware is loaded, it will prompt you to attach the phone by turning it off and keeping the back key press.
For Xperia Z1s Volume Down key will do the job of back key, just turn off your phone, keep the Volume Down key pressed and plug in the data cable.
As soon as the phone is detected in Flashmode, the firmware will start flashing, leave the Volume Down key and let it flash the firmware.
As soon as you see “Flashing ended or Finished Flashing” leave the Volume Down key, plug the cable out and reboot.
