Step#1: First you have to open Google dashboard on your PC. Make sure you login with the same email id the one you used on the device.

Step#2: There you’ll see the list of Google service that you are using. Click on Android.

Step#3: A list will appear with the devices information which are used against your gmail id.

Step#4: Now find the device from the list, copy the IMEI number. You are all good to go to law enforcement agencies.

First make sure that you have backed up your iPhone on local machine, if you do then follow the steps mentioned below.

Step#1: Open iTunes on your PC/Mac.

Step#2: Goto edit menu and select Preferences.

Step#3: Click on the device tab.

Step#4: You’ll see the list of the devices whom you’ve backed up using iTunes.

Step#5: All you have to do is hover the mouse over the device name and you’ll get the details of the device.

    Say what?? This article must be meant for Canadians for something… because it doesn’t work like that in the USA. If your phone or tablet is stolen the most you can do is file a report. No one is going to investigate your stolen device unless you’re a celebrity or very rich. This one lady I know had her house broken into and the thieves made off with a lot of her electronics, including her Tablet. I used Android Device Manager and managed to trace her tablet to a specific location… she went to the police but they told her they weren’t going to do anything more.
