Recently, it has been pushing its CyanogenMod 13 updates to numerous devices, but some devices including the Android One Sprout4 series has been showing no sign of receiving the official update. Today, we have gathered the download link for CyanogenMod 13 On Android One Sprout4 Devices, and here is the procedure to do the same.

How To Install CyanogenMod 13 On Android One Sprout4 Devices:

Requirements

1. Make sure your battery is above 60%, just in case something wrong happens while flashing.

2. Ensure that your device has a custom recovery like TWRP installed, as we need it to flash the ROM and GApps files.

3. You need the ROM file itself, and can download it by clicking here. Beta 2 | Beta 1

4. Moreover, to attain the Google Play Services, alongside some Google apps, you need the latest GApps file, which you can get by clicking here.

5. Lastly, you need some brains throughout the process.

Install CyanogenMod 13 On Android One Sprout4 Devices:

1. Download the CM 13 flashable zip file from above and transfer it to the root of your device’s storage.

2. Boot your device into recovery mode. To do this:

o Switch off your device.

o Now press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons simultaneously until you see the Recovery UI on your device.

o Once you see the Recovery UI, you can let go of the two buttons.

3. Once you boot into the recovery, you will have a look at many options. First, we have to clean wipe your current system partition to make way for your new ROM.

4. Tap on the option which reads ‘Wipe‘, and then tap on ‘Advanced Wipe‘. From in there, select the following options. Do not select the option which reads ‘Internal Storage‘ at any cost, as it will wipe off EVERYTHING, including your ROM file. Note: If you’re just updating an existing ROM, you can just wipe the cache and dalvik cache. So, you can have your data after the update.

5. Once the wipe has been successfully done, head back to the menu, and this time tap on the option which says ‘Install‘. Why you’re choosing this is pretty self-explanatory.

6. Browse and select the downloaded zip file in your phone. Swipe on the “Swipe to confirm flash” button to start flashing the zip file.

7. Similarly, flash the GApps file package, and you’re good to go!

Restore Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge Plus To Stock Firmware

In this guide you will find a comprehensive method to restore your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge plus to stock firmware. We will be showing you the step-by-step method to flash stock firmware on your Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus using Samsung’s flashtool Odin3. Before we jump up to the procedure, we will go through some reasons that might prompt you to flash a new stock firmware on your Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Flashing a stock firmware can be the only solution to fix your device in quite many situations. Flashing a stock firmware also reverts back any custom changes that you made to your device’s system by means of any tweaks, MODs or custom ROMs. In case you’ve flashed an invalid file on your Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and now your device is caught up in a bootloop, the only solution to fix your device might be restoring it to the stock firmware. The second situation that may prompt you to flash stock firmware is the root access. In case you’ve rooted your device and now you need to unroot it, you won’t be able to unroot it directly, thus you will need to flash a stock ROM to restore your Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge to its original unrooted state. Early Preparations

Make sure that your device is exactly as mentioned above. To check out what device you have, go to Settings > More/General > About Device or Settings > About Device and match the model number. Be careful about the device model number, flashing a file on a device not listed here might result in bricking it up. In that case, we may not be held responsible.

2. Battery should be charged at least 60%!

Your device’s battery should not be weak. In case your device goes dead during the flashing process, your device may get soft bricked and you might be in need of flashing stock firmware and that will ultimately result in wiping up your data as well. So, make sure that you charge your device before you start the flashing process.

3. Use the OEM data cable to establish connection!

Always use the original data cable to establish connection between your Android device and your computer / laptop. Using ordinary data cables might interrupt the flashing process, so to avoid any mishap, you need to meet this requirement as well.

4. Backup everything!

Just to be on the safe side, you may consider backing up each and everything from your Android device. This is highly recommended so that in case anything goes wrong, you still have the access to all of your data and you can restore it immediately. Also, clean install is always recommended, that means you will probably have to wipe your device to install the new firmware. So, you may backup everything as listed below.

5. Install Samsung USB drivers

6. Turn off Samsung Kies and other softwares while using Odin3!

Make sure that you turn off Samsung Kies while using Odin3 flashtool. Samsung Kies will interrupt Odin3 and will result in causing errors and may not let you flash your desired firwmrae. Also, make sure that you turn off any antivirus software you’ve installed and also disable firewall to avoid any connection and flashing issues.

Required Downloads & Installations

Download and extract Odin3 v3.10.6.
Download and extract firmware file (carefully for your variant) to get the .tar.md5 file.

Restore Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge Plus To Stock Firmware

Make sure that you read the instructions listed above carefully and you’re all set to go ahead now.
Wipe your device complete in order to attain a neat installation. You may boot into the recovery mode and perform a factory data reset.
Open Odin3.exe.
Put your Galaxy Note 5 or S6 Edge Plus in download mode. To do so, turn it off and wait for 10 seconds. Turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key simultaneously, You should see a warning, press Volume Up to continue. In case this method doesn’t work for you, try one from this guide.
Connect your device to your PC.
As soon as Odin detects your phone, the ID:COM box should turn blue. Make sure that you’ve installed Samsung USB drivers before connecting.
For Odin 3.09 or 3.10.6 hit the AP tab. Select the firmware.tar.md5 or firmware.tar, that you downloaded and extracted above.
If you’re using Odin 3.07, you will select “PDA” tab instead of the AP tab, rest of the options remain untouched.
Make sure that the options selected in your Odin are exactly as shown in the pic.
Hit start and wait till the firmware flashing is complete, The flashing process box will turn green upon successful flashing.
Once the flashing process has been completed successfully, disconnect your device and reboot it manually. You can reboot your device by long pressing Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Key.
Once the device boots up, checkout the new firmware now.
Your device will be running on stock Android firmware.
Once updated to stock, do not try to downgrade, or else you will result in messing up EFS partition of your device.

How To Turn Galaxy Note 3 Into Note 5 With DarkLord Note 5 ROM

You can now easily turn your Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005, N900D/S/K/L into Galaxy Note 5 by flashing DarkLord Note 5 ROM. DarkLord Note 5 is based on Galaxy Note 5 N920C’s N920CXXU1AOH2 stock TouchWiz firmware. The ROM contains almost all features of Note 5 and also contains some features of Galaxy S6 Edge+. We are going to show you the step-by-step instructions to install DarkLord Note 5 ROM on your Galaxy Note 3 and convert it into Galaxy Note 5. Before we head towards the installation method, let’s have a look on some mainstream features of the Galaxy Note 5 that make this ROM worth installing on your Note 3.

Galaxy Note 5 was released back in August, 2015. Samsung loaded Galaxy Note 5 with tons of new features. Mainstream features of the Galaxy Note 5 OS included a new enhanced TouchWiz UI, a new Theme engine to apply different themes on the TouchWiz UI, new Aircommand and some other S-Pen features. Before you flash this ROM, you need to make sure that you’ve read and applied all the guidelines explained above.

Also, make sure that you’re currently running your Galaxy Note 3 on Android Lollipop. Upgrading from an older version of Android will cause issues.
Now boot into TWRP recovery, to do so, turn off your device and then turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up+ Home Button + Power Key. Select Wipe >Advanced Wipe > Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik Cache. You can also perform a factory data reset.

The ROM will take a while to get flashed. As soon as the installation is done, factory reset the phone using the wipe option in TWRP recovery.

Galaxy Note 5 is equipped with a superb camera, other hardware specifications are also the best ones. Samsung did load the device with plethora of features. Galaxy Note 5 received great appreciation from users all around the world, the only thing that bothers the users is the TouchWiz UI. Over the past few years, Samsung has improved its devices in terms of software and hardware up to a great extent, but the TouchWiz is still disliked by a huge audience. The bloatware that comes pre-installed in these devices makes the TouchWiz UI laggy that makes the users hate it. You can either remove or disable the bloatware applications to enhance your TouchWiz UI, but that won’t actually help. In this case you would want to have a close-to-stock Android experience on your Galaxy Note 5. While we know that the Nexus devices come with pure, neat and clean version of Android carrying almost no bloatware, we can replicate some features of Nexus on our beloved Galaxy Note 5. By Nexifying the Galaxy Note 5, you will be able to get a handful of Google apps, Google’s home launcher and some other features that will give your Galaxy Note 5 a touch and feel of pure Android as similar to that of the Google Nexus devices. This will also help you to boost up the performance of your Galaxy Note 5. I hope this clears up the purpose of this post and removes any confusions that some of you might have in your mind.

We will be going through a very simple process, which involves no complexity at all. All we will do is, we will only replace the stock Samsung applications and cosmetics by Google’s applications and launcher.

Get a Material Design Theme

First off, you need to get a material design theme on your Galaxy Note 5. This will change the UI of your Galaxy Note 5 to something pure Android. Changing the theme will also remove those cartoonish graphics from your Galaxy Note 5.

To get the material design theme, simply open settings and go to “Themes” under personal tab.
Now in themes, tap “THEME STORE”.
Now in search type “Material Design”.
You will find a free theme named as “Material Design”. Tap this theme and download it.
Once downloaded, apply the newly downloaded Material Design theme.

Get Google Apps on your Galaxy Note 5

Now the next step is to replace some TouchWiz applications with Google Apps.

Download and install the following applications on your Galaxy Note 5 one by one from the Google Play Store.

Google Calendar (To Replace S Planner) [Disable stock S Planner application using the method given below]
Google Keyboard (To Replace TouchWiz UI Keyboard) [Change Keyboard input method in settings]
Google Messenger (To Replace TouchWiz Messaging App) [Use Google Messenger as default messaging app]
Google Camera (To Replace Samsung Stock Camera App) [Disable stock camera application using the method given below]
Google Photos (To Replace Samsung Stock Gallery App) [Disable stock Gallery application using the method given below]
Google Clock (To Replace TouchWiz’s Stock Clock) [Disable stock Clock application using the method given below]
Google Play Music (To Replace Samsung Music Application) [Disable stock Music application using the method given below]

Disable Samsung Applications that you just replaced (requires root)

Now you got to disable or hide the Samsung applications that you just replaced with the Google applications. To do so, follow these instructions.

Install Hide App-Hide Application Icon application.
Open the application from the app drawer.
Grant it root rights.
Select the Samsung stock applications like Gallery, Messaging, S Planner, TouchWiz Keyboard, Music, Clock and Calendar and disable/hide these applications now.

Disable Samsung Bloatware Apps

Now we need to disable some bloatware apps to light up your Galaxy Note 5.

Open app drawer on your Galaxy Note 5.
Tap the “Edit” option at the top-right corner.
Now tap the “-” icon on the applications to disable your desired applications. You can disable bloatware apps like S Health, S Voice, Samsung Galaxy Lite and others.

Get Google Now Launcher

Now the next step is to replace the TouchWiz Home launcher with Google Now Launcher.
To do so, simply open Google Play Store and search for “Google Now Launcher“.
Install the launcher on your phone.
Once installed, press the home key. You will be asked to choose a launcher. Select “Google Now Launcher”.
Your device’s UI will change now, which will be stock Android UI now.

2. Take a dry wipe or towel, and start smudging your device, ensure that you don’t rub it, as it would only rush the water inside of the device.

4. Never shake your device when it is wet, as it would just make the situation much worse.

7. Once you’re done with that, acquire a zip-lock bag, and fill it with rice. Now, put your smartphone in, and leave it for about 2-3 days.

8. Take your smartphone out of the bag, and keep it in the sun for about 12 hours, just to ensure that all the water dries up.
