LG has been in the news lately courtesy of their upcoming flagship, LG G6. The company earlier sent out invitations for their ‘See More, Play More’. Today LG has sent out another invitation confirming LG G6 presence at the event. The smartphone will be unveiled on 26th February at the MWC 2017 taking place in Barcelona.
The invitation claims that expect ‘Something Big, That Fits‘. This hints at the unusual 18:9 aspect ratio that LG is using for their device. In addition according to earlier information, LG G6 will have minimal bezels which will gave way to a larger display. The tagline also hints at the use of a uni-body design instead of the modular design that was used with LG G5, which was not very successful. The new design, if we go by renders and prototype seen to date show of a sleek device, set to impress.
This invitation is also a part of LG’s marketing strategy which they have employed for the past few months. LG has been dropping hints like crumbs to create a hype for their flagship. First there was the promo video asking people what are the different features do they look for in their ‘Ideal Smartphone’? The way the advertisement was designed hinted that with the new flagship, LG has looked into what users wanted and built on it. Then taking a direct jab at their rival, Samsung the company claimed that LG G6 battery will not overheat as they have the designed and placed the internal parts in such a way. Afterwards it has been the slew of leaks showing off its prototype, cases and renders.
