  1. On your computer, open the Minimal ADB and Fastboot.exe file from your desktop or open the cmd-here.exe file from the ADB drivers installation directory.
  2. Connect your phone to the computer now.
  3. In the command window, enter the following commands one by one.
    1. adb reboot download
      1. If the phone asks for any permission, allow it. Your phone will now reboot into the bootloader mode and it is ready for flashing.
    2. fastboot flash twrp.img
      1. This command will flash the TWRP recovery on the phone.
    3. fastboot reboot
      1. This command will reboot your phone into the newly installed TWRP recovery.
  4. Now follow the procedure given below to root the phone.

Root HTC U11 Eyes

  1. While you are in the TWRP recovery, click on Mount and mount all the partitions.
  2. If you disconnected your phone, connect it to your computer once again.
  3. Copy the Magisk.zip file to your phone.
  4. Get back to the TWRP recovery and click on Install > Install Zip > Locate and select Magisk.zip > Swipe to flash.
  5. Magisk will be flashed now. Reboot into the system after installation.
  6. Find Magisk Manager in the App Drawer. Your phone is rooted.

  1. Should be fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and the directions were not specified how to enter twrp. the reboot didn’t work. I navigated using the bootloader mode and not the cmd. Other than that I got it figured out. Had some trouble with the locked boot loader which I found another way of getting that.
