- Update OS
This is the first and foremost workaround you should try if one of your stock apps is not working. Head over to the Settings -> General -> Software Update.

When it comes to Android there a number of methods that can be used to hard reset or reboot a device. But when it comes to the iPhone & iPad, there is only one.
Press & release the Volume Up button -> Press & release the Volume down Button -> At the end press & hold the Volume Down and Power Button. Until you see the Slide to Turn off slider on the screen. - Wait for a few hours
