The Xiaomi Mi 4 was released in July 2014. The phone came out with a screen of 5.0 inches-inches having 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Xiaomi Mi 4 was powered by Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. It had internal storage of 16/64 GB and a RAM of 2/3GB only. The camera at the back of this phone was of 13 MP and on the front, it was of the only 8MP. Inside this phone, there was a 3080 mAh battery. The phone originally ran on Android 4.4.3 (KitKat), upgradable to 6.0.1 (Marshmallow).

Preparations:

  1. This ROM will work only with the Xiaomi (Mi 4, Mi 3).
  2. Backup each and everything from your phone as this ROM will potentially wipe it.
  3. Charge the battery of your Xiaomi (Mi 4, Mi 3) up to 50% so that it doesn’t die during ROM installation.
  4. Use OEM Data Cable to connect the Xiaomi (Mi 4, Mi 3) to your computer when needed.
  5. Follow the remaining steps carefully.

How To Install:

  • Since it is a custom ROM you must have TWRP Recovery Installed. If you don’t know how to install TWRP Recovery, Click Here.
  • Download the ROM and Gapps from the links given above.
  • Take a complete backup of your device.
  • Now extract the ROM and you will get system GSI file in.IMG format.
  • Copy both ROM and GApps folder to your Xiaomi (Mi 4, Mi 3).
  • Boot your device into recovery mode.
  • Now you have to perform Factory Reset, Advanced Wipe, and Clear Data, Dalvik, Cache partitions.
  • From the main screen of TWRP, Tap on Mount.
  • Head back to the home screen of TWRP and Tap on Install.
  • Select the ROM file and install it.
  • When ROM installation has finished, head back to the main screen and Install GApps.
  • Reboot the system once all the files are installed.
