Galaxy Note 2 is still loved by millions of users all around the globe, and this is the only reason that the device’s development is not seeing any breaks anytime soon, or its development might never see an end. A laundry list of custom ROMs is available over the XDA-developers forum that can make your Galaxy Note 2 fly high, but something unique is definitely required in order to add extra charm to the working and functionality of your Android device. The great developers are working all the time in order to make your device compete with Samsung’s latest flagships and help your devices feel young even if it’s years old. Dr. Ketan’s work is something similar. With Samsung’s new devices like Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S5, the users may feel that their devices are getting old and the features are outdated, while the new devices come with really cool and eye catching options on board. Dr. Ketan’s custom ROM installation is fully user controlled, each and every single option has to be selected by users while flashing the ROM through AROMA installer. The ROM is full of MODs, tweaks that you may select during installation, there is a number of themes available as well. Apart from this, Dr. Ketan has also inserted an option to remove bloatware during the installation, which simply fastens the performance of your Galaxy Note 2. The ROM also packs up EFS Backup and Password Cleaner which helps the users to take maximum advantage while installing this ROM and make the installation secure.

Dr.Ketan Utilities

You can access this by Setting-device-DrKetan ROM Extra OR from App drawer. This utility requires plug in called Secure setting. It should auto install while flashing ROM. you should check in app drawer, if it is missing then you should download from play store.
This application is built-in Dr.Ketan’s Custom ROM. This application divided in four menu. Also note that you needs to install plug-in to work this app. On opening of app it will direct to play store to install plug in if your device lacking it.
1.Toggles – As name suggest here in this menu you will have many Toggles which you can use to activate/Deactivate services.
Single tap on icon to activate, Long click on icon to deactivate
Incoming Call Record – This will record all incoming calls. File will be saved in IntSD/Sounds/ folder. (If you dont have this folder then manually create it.)
Outgoing Call Record – This will record all Outgoing calls. File will be saved in IntSD/Sounds/ folder. (If you dont have this folder then manually create it.)
Auto GPS – Will Auto On/Off GPS with some commonly GPS using app
Auto Wifi – Auto switch off wifi if no active connection more than 10min
Auto Bluetooth – Auto switch off bluetooth if not actively paired more than 10min

This is helpful to reduce battery consumption
Heating issue FIX – This will disable scanning and indexing which sometimes causing too much heating with bad file. Though it’s not idle so;ution. you should find culprit causing issue and should remove it. But you can use this temporarily till you find solution.

Pre-Installation Instructions:

This ROM is only for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100. Do not try this on any other device, please check your device’s model in Settings > About Device > Model.
Your device must be running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or higher. Do not use any older firmware to flash this ROM.
Your device must have a custom recovery installed, in case you’re missing it you may Follow our full guide here to install TWRP.
Your device’s battery should be charged at least over 60%. This is highly recommended in order to prevent any power issues during the flashing process.
Make sure that you backup your important media content, Contacts, Call Logs & Messages. This is highly recommended just in case something goes wrong and you need to reset your phone.
If you already have rooted your device, use Titanium Backup to back up all your important apps + system data. Also if you are using a custom recovery, it is recommended that you backup your current system using that first. [Just for the sake of safety]. Here’s our full Nandroid Backup guide.
You will have to go through Data Wipes during installation of this ROM, so make sure that you have backed up all the mentioned data.
Make an EFS backup of your phone before you flash this ROM.
You need enough confidence to flash this ROM.
Alright! Go ahead and flash the custom firmware, follow this guide to the letter.

How to Install Dr.Ketan Custom ROM V7.3 On Galaxy Note 2 And Get Galaxy S5 And Galaxy Note 3 Features:

Make sure that TWRP recovery is flashed on your device.
Download latest Dr.Ketan Custom ROM V7.3 .zip file.
Connect your phone to your PC now.
Copy the .zip files to the storage of your phone.
Now disconnect your phone and turn it off complete.
Boot into TWRP recovery now, in order to do so, turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key. You should see the recovery mode in a while.
Now in TWRP recovery, wipe cache, factory data reset and advanced options > dalvik cache. [Important]
After wiping all these three, select “Install” option.
Now select “Install > Choose Zip from SD card > Select Dr.Ketan Custom ROM V7.3 .zip file > Yes”.
This will start flashing the ROM in your phone.
Once entered in AROMA installer, go through the options, select the MODs, tweaks, themes and other tasks you want to perform.
Flash the ROM.
Reboot your device.
You should see the Dr.Ketan Custom ROM V7.3 Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM running on your device in a while.
That’s all!

First boot may take up to 10 minutes, you may not worry if it’s taking that much long. In case it’s taking too long, you may boot into TWRP recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot your device as it may fix the issue. In case your device is having issues, you may return to your old system using the Nandroid backup or follow our guide here to install stock firmware.

How to Install DN3 V5+ ROM On Galaxy Note 2 And Transform It Into Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 2:

In case you don’t have a new bootloader and you don’t have the knox counter on your device’s bootloader and you wish to avoid it in this installation as well, do this, otherwise skip this part if you’re already on a newer bootloader.

Download Odin 3 v3.09
Download MJ5 Bootloader.
Boot your device into the Download Mode now. To do so, turn off your device completely, now turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power Key + Home Key, as soon as you see the warning, Volume Up to continue.
Connect your phone to your PC now.
Now select the click on the “CP” tab now and select the modem you downloaded.
Hit start and site back.
This will flash the MJ5 Bootloader in your phone.
Disconnect your device once done.

Installing the ROM:

Make sure that TWRP recovery is flashed on your device.
Download latest DN3 V5+ ROM .zip file.
Connect your phone to your PC now.
Copy the .zip files to the storage of your phone.
Now disconnect your phone and turn it off complete.
Boot into TWRP recovery now, in order to do so, turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key. You should see the recovery mode in a while.
Now in TWRP recovery, wipe cache, factory data reset and advanced options > dalvik cache. [Important]
After wiping all these three, select “Install” option.
Now select “Install > Choose Zip from SD card > Select DN3 V5+ .zip file > Yes”.
This will flash the ROM in your phone.
Reboot your device.

This is the first time i faced such kind of problem on Samsung device, well i’ve heard about it many times but never faced such kind of problem. How To Install Stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat Ported From Galaxy Note 2 On Galaxy S3

Samsung won’t be updating the international variant of the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Samsung’s excuse for not rolling out this update to the international users is the RAM optimization for the KitKat. The great work done by XDA recognized contributor JustArchi and few others is good enough to show Samsung that Galaxy S3 is capable of running Android 4.4.2 KitKat without any hiccups here and there.

These guys have ported the stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat from the Galaxy Note 2 to the Galaxy S3. The firmware is in “Work In Progress” state at the moment and still is under testing, however those Android enthusiasts who can’t just site idle with their devices may want to give it a try and checkout how Galaxy S3 treats the stock KitKat. In the following post we are going to install this stock Android 4.4.2 KitKat ported from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to Galaxy S3 GT-I9300. Before we head towards the installation instructions, the only thing you need to keep in mind is, as mentioned, this firmware is in development stages and there are high chances of bugs and it isn’t said to be stable, nor it should be kept for everyday’s use. Pre-Installation Instructions:

This ROM is only for Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300. Do not try this on any other device, please check your device’s model in Settings > About Device > Model.

Your device’s battery should be charged at least over 60%. This is highly recommended in order to prevent any power issues during the flashing process.

You will have to go through Data Wipes during installation of this ROM, so make sure that you have backed up all the mentioned data.

How to Install S5 Sensation ROM on Samsung Galaxy S3:

Download latest S5 Sensation ROM 5.0 .zip file.
Connect your phone to your PC now.
Copy the .zip files to the storage of your phone.

Root Nexus 7 2012 Running Android 4.4.3 KTU84L Kit-Kat Official Firmware

Android 4.4.3 Kit-Kat has been released and most of the devices are already being upgraded to the latest version. As obvious, no matter which OEM release the official update, it will remove the root access of your device and those who are addicted to a rooted device, can never go back to an un-rooted device. In the world of Android devices, rooting methods are quite much the same for the Android versions even if they have been updated, the process must be same for the device. Nexus 7 however, will be rooted through the old method, first Install Custom Recovery and then Flash Super SU for rooting. Since CF-Auto root will take a little time to be released for this version, till then Old is Gold.

Here are a little something to consider before rooting:

Your Device must be running Android 4.4.3 Kit-Kat, How Follow: Link
Back-Up all your important Contacts, Call Logs & Messages. It is highly recommended in case of any mishap or data loss to back up all your important data.
Back-Up your Mobiles EFS Data.
Check your device model, Go To Setting > About and Make sure that it is Nexus 7 2012
Do-not try it on Nexus 5 or Nexus 4 or Nexus 7 2013.
Bootloader Must Be Unlocked.

Installation Process:

1. CWM Recovery:

Download Super SU to the root of your SDcard.
Download the CWM Recovery Image and paste it in the Fastboot folder
Turn Off your Device
Now go to Bootloader/Fastboot mode, Press and hold Power + Volume Down Buttons till you see some text on-screen
Now Open Command prompt in Fastboot Folder. How? Hold Shift Key and Right Click anywhere in the Fastboot folder.
Connect your Device with PC.
Now Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img to flash the CWM Recovery on your device
Type fastboot reboot, to reboot your device
After a proper reboot, your device will be running CWM Recovery

2. Installing Super SU:

Turn Off your Device again
Now go to Bootloader/Fastboot mode, Press and hold Power + Volume Down Buttons till you see some text on-screen
Choose Recovery From Bootloader
Navigate to ‘Install zip from SDcard’ another windows will open in front of you.
Select ‘choose zip from sd card’ from the Options.
Select the Super SU.zip file and confirm the installation on next screen.
Once the Installation is Over, Select +++++Go Back+++++.
Select “Reboot System Now“,
After the Reboot, check Super SU app in drawer or use any root checker app to verify root access.

Although the first Galaxy Gear wasn’t warmly welcomed by the users, but it doesn’t matter for the Android enthusiasts who always love to try out something new. Samsung loaded the Galaxy Gear SM-V700 with the maximum features it can at that time, and the device was pretty much acceptable to some extent. With a 2 MP camera on the strap, and a very nice Super AMOLED display, that shows up all the notifications and is also capable of running some cool apps, the Galaxy Gear won so many pockets while getting buried under criticism. Galaxy Gear’s Android powered nature actually helped it to keep its little charm alive as the device was expected to receive some nice development, which later on emerged on the XDA-developers forum. There are custom ROMs, custom Recoveries, flashable mods and other tweaks available.

Same is the case with Galaxy Gear, the root paved way for other applications that were apparently locked to the Galaxy Gear. If you happen to be the Galaxy Gear owner, you might haven noticed that in the recent software update, Samsung has changed the OS of the first Gear from Android to Tizen. This may be a bad news for so many users, but we do understand that Samsung wants to keep its wearable line on the same OS and wants its new OS to get some hands on it. Arrival of Tizen on the Gear 1 is not really a problem and won’t bother you since its root is already available, that means you will still be able to go beyond the boundaries and add a new life to this little great gadget.

As we move forward in the following post, we will root Samsung Galaxy Gear running SM-V700 latest Tizen firmware. All you need is, you need to follow this guide carefully in order to get successful with this procedure.

Here are the pre-installation instructions:

This guide is only for Samsung Galaxy Gear SM-V700. Do not try this on any other device, check your device model number in settings > about device.
Download the file carefully for your device.
Make sure that your device’s battery is charged over at least 60%. Highly recommended in order to prevent any mishap during the recovery installation process.
Use only OEM data cable to establish connection between your phone and PC. Turn off your Anti Virus and Firewall to prevent any connection issues. Also enable USB debugging mode on your phone if you face connection issues.

Download and Install Samsung USB drivers – Get Here.
Download and Extract Odin3 v3.09 – Get Here

How to Root Galaxy Gear Running Tizen:

Download the file for your variant carefully.
Open Odin3 v3.09.exe.
Put your phone in download mode, to do so, turn it off completely. Now turn it on, as soon as yous see the Galaxy Gear logo, press the power key 5 to 6 times quickly in order to get into download mode.
In case the download mode method doesn’t work for your device, try one of the methods from this guide.
Connect your Galaxy Gear to your PC.
The ID:COM box in Odin should turn blue now, that means your phone is connected properly in download mode.
Click on the “AP” tab in Odin 3.09 and select the downloaded v700_rootfs.img.tar file.
Make sure that the only options selected in Odin are Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time. All other options should be unticked.
Hit start now and sit back, it will take a few seconds to flash the root file and your device will reboot.
You’re rooted now.
