Now comes the variant system of GSI ROMs. There are LineageOS, Resurrection Remix, AOSP, and the Pixel Experience ROMs that have the GSI builds. First of all, the AOSP Android Pie GSI build was released which laid the basis for LineageOS 16 and other ROMs like the Pixel Experience.
