Is Samsung teasing users by using their next flagship, the Galaxy S8 in the promotional video of Samsung Display? Well let us explain as why we think that is the case. The different reports that we have heard to date about the device highlight that the company is working on changing its design this time around. For that purpose they will be getting rid of the Home Button in which the fingerprint scanner is also embedded. By making this change they will be able to increase the screen-to-body ratio, giving users the true edge-to-edge display.
The two videos by Samsung Display promoting their latest AMOLED technology shows a smartphone with no home button and a big display and very small bezels. The Galaxy S8 is supposed to be have a curved display but the device in the promo video has a flat display which make us think that maybe a flat variant is still in the books.
Though there is no name branding, which means that the smartphones used in the promo videos are prototypes or even not the Galaxy S8 at all. Well looking at it from the company’s perspective, Samsung will not lift the curtain from their most anticipated smartphone of the year like that. But we sure can hope and be excited about the possibilities of what the smartphone may look like. Galaxy S8 is expected to launch at the MWC 2017, as the date comes closer we will be looking at more rumors, leaks and speculation about the smartphone.
