Your hopes of an iOS 11 jailbreak might come true thanks to security researcher’s latest exploit

Winters are far from over and we believe that one of the greatest gifts that you could receive would be to see an iOS 11 jailbreak. Unfortunately, the lack of a jailbreak means that Cydia repositories might have to be shut down eventually. The reason behind this is that lots of people seemed to have lost all hope regarding a jailbreak for the iPhone.

Your hopes of iOS 11 jailbreak might come true thanks to security researcher’s latest exploit

However, even a little sliver of hope can go a long way to achieving what you believe in. One security researcher called Ian Beer, who belongs to Google’s Project Zero team has revealed through a tweet that he plans to release part 1 of the tfp0 exploit for Apple’s iOS devices running iOS 11.1.2 and below.

For those that do not know, the tfp0 exploit in the easiest terms possible is considered to be an 80 percent of a jailbreak with read or write privileges for the kernel. At the same time, you still need a kernel patch protection bypass. According to the famous hacker Luca Todescom, he thinks it is possible because past iOS 10.3 onwards, Apple is unable to patch the core problem.

One reason why readers might feel a new ray hope for the iOS 11.1.2 jailbreaking was because it was the Ian Beer exploit that had lead to the first iOS 10 jailbreak, which took place last Christmas.

While the discovery of tfp0 exploit is excellent news, someone still needs to develop a GUI-based user-friendly jailbreak tool, so while your newly discovered excitement should be well received, it is possible that it will be short lived.

People who are still interested in a jailbreak will need to upgrade or downgrade to iOS 11.1.2 as soon as possible as Apple is still signing the iOS 11.1.2 firmware file.

Do you jailbreaking fans still think that we could get one last gift as part of the holiday season before it ends?
