Fix Samsung Wireless Charging Paused Error:
Following are the methods I used to Fix Wireless Charging Paused Error on my Galaxy Note 8. You should try all of the following ones by one.
Force reboot:
Many users have reported that after forcefully rebooting their device, Wireless charging seems to start working for them. I think it’s worth trying to, so follow the instructions.
- Press the Volume down button and don’t let go.
- Now Press and hold the power button.
- Wait for 10 seconds until your device is rebooted.
Rebuild the system cache:
- Turn off your device.
- Now press and hold home+Power+Volume Up key.
- Release the power button once you see a logo, but keep holding home and Volume up keys.
- Now when you see Android logo, let go both buttons.
- Use the volume down button to navigate and highlight wipe cache partition.
- Now use the power key to select the option.
- You have to select ‘Yes‘ when you’ll be prompted to the next menu.
- Now wait for the process to be completed, once it’s done highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and press power button to select it.
- All Done.
Check wireless charger and cable are working:
In my case, both the wireless charger and cable were working perfectly. You should do a test on your end, try charging other devices with same charger and cable. Then change the charger and see if it works, if it does that means you charger was the one behind all this. Now do same with cable, by doing that you’ll easily get to know in which kind of situation you are in.
Reset all settings:
If you are unable to determine whether it’s the Wireless Charger issues or it’s phone related. I think it would best to reset all the settings and take them back to default.
- Head over to the Settings.
- General management.
- Tap Reset.
- Reset settings.
- RESET SETTINGS button.
Boot to safe mode:
Safe Mode gives you an edge Since all the third-party apps are disabled. It will be easy to locate the root of the problem. Sometimes third-party apps running in the background are the reason your device is not working normally.
- First, turn off your Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
- Now press and hold the power key.
- When you see the Samsung Galaxy logo, release the button and then press+hold the volume down button.
- Don’t let go until your phone finishes the rebooting process.
- When you see Safe Mode in the lower left corner of the screen let go of the volume down button.
Factory reset: Worked for me:

- Turn off your device.
- Now press and hold home+Power+Volume Up key.
- Release the power button once you see the logo, but keep holding home and Volume up keys.
- Now when you see Android logo, let go both buttons.
- Use the volume down button to navigate and highlight wipe data/factory reset.
- Now use the power key to select the option.
- You have to select ‘Yes‘ when you’ll be prompted for the next menu.
- Now wait for the process to be completed, once it’s done highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and press power button to select it.
- All Done.
