Samsung just over the weekend confirmed the dates on which they will be unveiling their S-series flagship smartphone. On 29th March with two dedicated unpacked events taking place in New York and London, we will officially see Galaxy S8. With barely a month to go, the rumor mill around tech town is working over time as everyday we are getting to see something new related to the device. A press render for Galaxy S8 was shared by Evan Blass, the renowned tipster who shares credible info related to different devices.
As per tradition with the Galaxy S flagships, Samsung will be announcing two devices Galaxy S8 and Galaxy 8+. There will be edge variant as both the devices will come with a dual curved display. The only difference between the two will be their display size, with Galaxy S8 having a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display and Galaxy S8+ having a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display.
One of features that has been mentioned in relation to Galaxy S8 flagship is that it will have an 18:9 aspect ratio. This makes the device taller and narrower, making it easy to control the device with just one hand. The press render hints at that aspect. LG at the MWC introduced LG G6 with this aspect ratio. Samsung is also following suit.
Samsung for the Galaxy S8 flagship have gotten rid of the home button which then gave way to minimal bezels. With the curved display, minimal bezels and top notch specs, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are bound to give their competitors a run for their money and Samsung is ready for that as they are planning to amp up production to meet the demand.
