We already knew that Nokia was going to announce something next month courtesy of the ‘save the date’ message on their Facebook page. Newly leaked video suggests that HDM Global will be unveiling the Nokia 8, their Android powered Nokia smartphone at the MWC 2017. The alleged video shows the smartphones prototypes at display at the CES 2017.
Nokia 8 which has been code named Nokia Supreme will come in two different variants. One of the variants will have the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor which has been produced using the 9mm process which makes it quicker and more energy efficient. It will be paired with a 6GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage that can be extended via the microSD card. The second variant will have the Snapdragon 821 processor with a 4 GB RAM. The devices will be equipped with a 24MP main and 12MP selfie shooter.
To date Nokia under HMD Global has launched the Nokia 6 for the Chinese market. There has been speculation that that Nokia branded smartphones will only arrive for the Chinese consumers as the company wants to revive their brand in the biggest markets of the world. The new development suggests that a flagship Nokia smartphone is in works for global markets with premium specs. More about the Nokia 8 would be come clear in the coming days if this the device that will be unveiled at the MWC 2017 next month.
