LiberTV11, with the official version being 11.1 is the first public tvOS 11 jailbreak that has been released for not just the Apple TV 4 but also for the Apple TV 4K. In case you were wondering, this jailbreak tool was created by Jonathan Levin, and he is the author of various macOS and iOS security books and is based on exploits released by Google’s Ian Beer.
The updated version of the LiberTV jailbreak will support tvOS 11.0, right up to tvOS 11.1 on both the fourth generation Apple TV 4, along with with the latest and greatest Apple TV 4K. Now looking at what this jailbreak can provide you with, you will have SSH access and can pretty much run any self-signed binary as it gives you full root access to the TV hardware.
LiberTV 1.1 will feature an IPA file format and if you want to start downloading, then you can click on the source link given at the bottom. This has been tried and tested so we do not believe that you will be running into problems with the source link. Now for the installing and jailbreaking bits, you will have two options which have been listed below.
Sign it using your Apple ID developer account, and sideload it either using Cydia Impactor (keep in mind that this will be for the Apple TV 4 version and the 4K variant) or Xcode.
After the entire process has been completed, you should have a completely jailbroken Apple TV that is running tvOS 11. We will repeat this once more, this jailbreak supports tvOS 11.0-11.1 only. If you hastily updated your tvOS to 11.2.x, then you will be out of luck as there is currently no way to get back to the older version of the software.
