LineageOS 15 has started coming in for several Android smartphones and tablets. LineageOS 15 gives your Android smartphone to experience a whole new life in the form of Android 8.0 Oreo. The latest device to be blessed with the Android Oreo based on LineageOS 15 is the Galaxy Tab S2 T813. Linage OS 15 is in its very early stage, yet has got most of the features working on the Galaxy Tab S2. You will find the WiFik, Bluetooth, Video Playback, Audio, Sensors and GPS working on it. The only thing that isn’t working on this device, for now, is the Camera and it doesn’t support Selinux isn’t permissive for now.

Samsung revised the device in the year 2016. It released the T813 variant of the Galaxy Tab S2 in 2016 running on the latest available hardware at that time. The 2016 models are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 CPU and a RAM of 3 GB with 32/64 GB onboard storage. The 9.7-inch tab has an 8 MP shooter fixed on the front and a 2.1 MP selfie shooter. Galaxy Tab S2 originally ran on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The device got an update to Android 7.0 Nougat. We are not sure whether Samsung will update this tablet further or not. The best possible choice, for now, is to update a custom Android Oreo ROM and experience how the new sweet Oreo cookies look on your device.

Preparation:
- This guide is only own for the Galaxy Tab S2 T813/N WiFi only version. Do not try this on any other smartphone or else you will end up bricking it.
- Backup your important call logs, text messages, and contacts. Also backup your media content. This is a very important step since the ROM requires you to wipe your phone completely.
- Install latest TWRP custom recovery on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T813.
- Make sure that you are flashing this ROM at your own risk. In case something goes wrong, TechBeasts or the ROM developers cannot be held responsible. Follow the guide carefully.
Install Galaxy Tab S2 Android Oreo LineageOS 15 Custom ROM
- Download twrp-3.1.1-0-gts210vewifi.img and copy it to your Tab.
- Download lineage-15.0-20170901-UNOFFICIAL-gts210vewifi.zip file and copy it to your phone’s storage.
- Download GApps.zip file and copy it to your phone’s storage as well.
- Now boot your phone into TWRP recovery on your phone.
- Assuming that you already have a TWRP recovery installed, create a Nandroid and EFS backup of your phone.
- Copy the Nandroid and EFS backup to your computer.
- Once again boot into TWRP recovery on your phone.
- In TWRP, tap Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Cache, Dalvik Cache, Data, System, and Cache > Swipe screen to wipe.
- Get back to the main menu in TWRP now, tap Install > Install Image File or .img > Locate and select the copied TWRP.img file > Swipe screen to flash. Once the flashing ends, go back to the main menu, tap Reboot > Recovery.
- Your device will now reboot into the newly updated TWRP.
- In TWRP now, tap Install > Locate and select Android Oreo Custom ROM.zip file > Swipe screen to flash.
- Right after flashing the Android Oreo ROM, flash GApps similarly.
- If you want to be rooted, you can flash Magisk or SuperSU after flashing GApps now.
- Once done, reboot your phone into the system. Android O will take like 10 minutes on the first boot.
