Preparations
- This ROM is only for the Galaxy S8 SM-G950 and Galaxy S8 Plus SM-G955F.
- Backup your contacts, call logs, SMS messages and all other important data as we will have to wipe the phone later on.
- Flash a TWRP recovery on your Galaxy S8/S8 Plus.
- Make sure OEM Unlocking is enabled on your phone and FRP lock is off.
- You need an external SD card or USB OTG in order to flash the ROM. Get one beforehand.
Install Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus Renovate Ice 3.0 Custom ROM
- Download latest Renovate Ice ROM.zip file for your phone.
- Boot into TWRP recovery on your phone. Power down your phone first. Now turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power + Bixby button.
- Once your phone is in the recovery mode, tap Wipe > Format data.
- After formatting data, tap Advanced Wipe > Select all partitions except MicroSD and USB OTG.
- Now connect the USB OTG if you have copied the ROM in it. If you have copied the ROM in external SD card, then make sure it’s on the phone.
- Tap the Install option in TWRP recovery > Select the storage where you have copied the Renovate Ice 3.0 ROM.zip file.
- AROMA installer will come up in a while. Select all the options and features that you want to go with. AROMA is self-explanatory. You won’t face any issues with this part of the installation.
To have the latest bootloader and modem on your phone, download the latest firmware files and flash them using the install feature of the TWRP recovery.
