Files you need to download:
- Download and extract Odin PC – Get it here
- Download and Samsung USB Drivers – Get here
- Download the latest firmware Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XWUGML4 for Galaxy S3 I9300.
How to Install Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XWUGML4 firmware on Galaxy S III I9300:
- On your phone, Boot into Stock/Custom recovery now (Volume UP + Home button + Power Key) and wipe cache,dalvik, factory data reset (It is highly recommended in order to attain best results from the firmware) and restart it.
- Put your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 in download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power key at the same time, you should get a screen showing a warning and asking to continue, press Volume Up to continue.
- Extract the downloaded Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware file, you should get a .tar.md5 file now.
- Now your phone should be in downloading mode. Connect your phone to your PC.
- As soon as Odin detects your phone the ID:COM box will turn light blue.
- Click on the PDA tab and select the downloaded and extracted Firmware.tar.md5 file.
- Your Odin screen should look like exactly as shown below.
- As soon as you click start, Odin will flash the new firmware in your phone, hold your nerves as it may take a few minutes.
- You should also see the installation process on your phone under “Downloading”
- As soon as the installation is done, you should see PASS or RESET status in Odin, remove your phone now.
