Install Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XWUGML4 Firmware on Galaxy S3 I9300

Files you need to download:

  1. Download and extract Odin PC – Get it here
  2. Download and Samsung USB Drivers – Get here
  3. Download the latest firmware Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XWUGML4 for Galaxy S3 I9300.

How to Install Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XWUGML4 firmware on Galaxy S III I9300:

      1. On your phone,  Boot into Stock/Custom recovery now (Volume UP + Home button + Power Key) and wipe cache,dalvik, factory data reset (It is highly recommended in order to attain best results from the firmware) and restart it.
      2. Put your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300  in download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power key at the same time, you should get a screen showing a warning and asking to continue, press Volume Up to continue.
      3. Extract the downloaded Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware file, you should get a .tar.md5 file now.
      4. Now your phone should be in downloading mode. Connect your phone to your PC.
      5. As soon as Odin detects your phone the ID:COM box will turn light blue.
      6. Click on the PDA tab and select the downloaded and extracted Firmware.tar.md5 file.
      7. Your Odin screen should look like exactly as shown below.

      9. As soon as you click start, Odin will flash the new firmware in your phone, hold your nerves as it may take a few minutes.
      10. You should also see the installation process on your phone under “Downloading”
      11. As soon as the installation is done, you should see PASS or RESET status in Odin, remove your phone now.
      12. That’s All!
