Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro aren’t the only phones from Huawei to get the bezel-less treatment. A new device being called Honor V10 is expected to get announced on December 5 and will sport specifications that will rival those of the current-gen flagships.
Learning more details about the smartphone, the Honor V10 will have a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. There is no info provided about its display technology, but it will probably use an IPS panel. The specifications of the phone are similar to what you will find on the Mate 10 Pro. Under the hood, the Honor V10 will have the powerful Kirin 970 chipset, which is developed by Huawei’s own chip manufacturing subsidiary.
The Kirin 970 offers a powerful processor combination and features its own dedicated neural processing unit so users are able to use artificial intelligence for a boatload of applications. The Honor V10 could also feature the same thing, but it is yet to be confirmed if Huawei is going to enable this or not.
Aside from the processor, 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of storage is also expected from the Honor V10, making this a very powerful handset indeed. The camera department will have a dual-setup featuring a 16MP + 20MP sensor combination. As an added bonus, the phone will be running Android 8.0 Oreo right off the bat.
Such a powerful phone that features a bezel-less design will surely cost a lot of money but looking at the pricing of other handsets, the $450 rumored price of the phone does not seem all that much.
It definitely isn’t the cheapest phone in Huawei’s lineup but if the rumored price is less than $500, then the company has done a tremendous job with the specifications, 18:9 display and everything packed in the 5.99-inch device.
