Last year, the Galaxy A series of phones got a full metal body upgrade, not to mention waterproofing and camera additions, something that Samsung has not done before on its mid-ranged smartphones. Things are about to get even better for consumers who are not willing to spend large amounts of money to buy a Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ or Galaxy Note 8.

Galaxy A8 2018 front panel has a very similar design choice to the Galaxy S8

According to a leaked panel of the Galaxy A8 2018, or Galaxy A8 (2018) however you want to refer to it, the front glass panel of the phone looks identical to the Galaxy S8. We are saying this because the Galaxy A8 2018 could also feature an ‘Infinity Display’ which was a design change that popularized the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ so much.

This reduction of bezels will force Samsung to shift the home button at the back of the Galaxy A8 2018 while providing more screen to the user from the front. The Galaxy A8 2018 has been rumored to get a dual-camera at the back as well as 6GB of RAM, making it more feature-enriched and powerful than your average mid-ranged smartphone.

However, the ‘Infinity Display’ along with the other hardware changes and specifications will force Samsung to charge a higher price for the Galaxy A8 2018. There are no rumors related if the phone is going to provide support for wireless charging or not, but if so, the average buyer could end up paying a larger sum for the upcoming phone.

The Galaxy A8 2018 is not going to be a terrible phone by any means but do not expect it to give you the same level of performance as the Galaxy S8. It could also come with a dedicated Bixby button which will be another feature taking from Samsung’s flagship’s almanac.
