A reliable tipster @Evleaks suggests that both Android Wear 2.0 and the two LG smartwatches will be announced on 8th February. The information before hand suggested that the launch will take place on 9th February. LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport, will be the first wearable’s to have the Android 2.0 onborad. This does not mean that the update will not be pushed out to the rest of the devices.
LG previously has always impressed with their smartwatches and this time is going to be no different. The two watches aim at different target audience, with the LG Watch Sport aiming at a more adventurous crowd, while the LG Watch Style more focused on the ultra hip and fashionable. In terms of design these two watches will be similar but the LG Watch Sport will retail at $249. With the Android Wear 2.0 and the smartphones having NFC and LTE connectivity, users will now be able to make payments through their smartwatches. No need to pair your smartwatch with your smartphone to do that.
Both the LG smartwatches will have Google Assistant on board and will work with both iOS and Android. The LG Watch Style will have IP67 rating, making it water and dust resistant while the LG Watch Sport will have an IP68 rating. In addition, the later model will also come with a hear monitor. The LG Watch Sports will also have the ability to make calls and will employ the same number as used by your smartphone.
