Abraham Masri was able to take advantage of Ian Beer’s async_wake exploit, allowing him to release a ‘developer only jailbreak solution’ for iOS 11.1.2 called to.panga. Most iPhones and iPhones must be all excited to hear this news but it is time to let down the hammer and tell you the bad news.
First off, you should know that the developer himself has pointed out that this jailbreak solution is intended to be used by developers only. What exactly will developers make use of this? Well, developers are the guys who continue to release jailbreaks for us and if they get access to this, they might be able to reproduce something that is more stable and usable for the average user.
Currently, Cydia is not completely functional on the 64-bit-only iOS 11 until and unless an update has been pushed out. If you are a developer who wants to get to know more about this ‘developer only’ jailbreak, there are some pointers given below that provide information on how you can get it installed. Bear in mind that you will be doing this at your own risk so proceed with caution.
“how do I install:
if you’re asking this question then it’s better for you not to do so. to.panga will partially jailbreak your phone and I am not responsible for any mess up. This project is for research only.
no offsets needed because we don’t do any kernel calls 😉
tested on X and 7
oh and please don’t complain about the code or bootstrap. Any unnecessary files or code will eventually be removed or improved.”
If you are not an accomplished developer at this stage, it would be great to sit this one out as it might cause irreparable harm to your device that only you will claim responsibility for.
