Looking at the haphazard timing of Samsung’s update releases, particularly for its flagship smartphones, users of the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 might not be feeling too enthusiastic about the release coming to their devices anytime soon. While Samsung might delay the Android Oreo 8.0 update, there are somethings that users should know about the upcoming software and it is not just related to Samsung’s flagship smartphone owners.

It is also related to the mid-ranged smartphone owners and we have excellent news for them too. A leaked screenshot from a Chinese leakster reveals that Samsung is going to be rolling out the Android Oreo 8.0 update to a large number of phones and the flagship number is not just going to be the lineup to receive the special treatment.

A while back, it was reported that even Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and Galaxy S7 edge+ owners are going to be seeing the Android Oreo update, so things are looking more than positive from Samsung’s side.

Now here is the only problem that we want to share with you. As much as Samsung is willing to make the effort to make sure that previous-generation flagship smartphone owners can experience Google’s latest mobile software update, Samsung has not eager to provide a clue about its release.

We have an idea that the flagships of 2017 are going to be receiving the Android Oreo 8.0 update first followed by the less expensive phones but it would have been a nice touch had Samsung been kind enough to provide an estimated time on the update’s arrival.

Regardless, we will be updating you from time to time on the software update. Did your smartphone get shortlisted for the Android Oreo 8.0 update?
