Google Pixel Unlock Bootloader Guide

Google Pixel is the new lineup of smartphones and tablets coming out from the Android giant. The Pixel series replaces the Nexus series. There isn’t going to be any other change on these devices. The Android OS running on these devices will still remain pure and stock Android, it’s only the name which has changed. It’s going to be easy to tweak these devices just like the Nexus lineup. Just to give Android users a warning, Google keeps the bootloader of its devices locked. If the users wish to bypass the restrictions, they can unlock the bootloader in a few steps and flash anything on the device.

For those who do not know about bootloader they may be interested in knowing that this part of your device powers your device up right when you turn it on. The bootloader contains the kernel code which is responsible for booting your device. This code also checks the security of your device, is responsible for warnings for modifications and everything else. The bootloader is kept locked to restrict the users from flashing any third party files on the device for the sake of its security. For this reason, the bootloader unlocking wipes your phone completely and also voids the warranty of your device and you are on your own. Once you have unlocked the bootloader of your device, it no longer keeps a security check and it no longer cages the Android users.

Unlocking the bootloader of Google Pixel devices is the same as the Nexus smartphones. It only requires a few commands to unlock it. In this post you will have a look on Google Pixel Unlock Bootloader Guide.

Preparations

  • This guide is only for Google Pixel. Do not try this on any other phone.
  • Your phone’s battery must be charged up to 70% to avoid any power issues.
  • Use original data cable to establish connection between your phone and your PC.
  • Backup all of your important media content, contacts, call logs and text messages.
  • Enable USB debugging mode on your phone. To do so, go to settings > about device > tap build number for 7 times. You will have developer options enabled in settings. Open developer options > Enable USB debugging mode.
  • Also turn on “Enable OEM Unlocking” under developer options.
  • Download and install Google USB drivers.
  • Download and setup Minimal ADB & Fastboot drivers.  Mac users can use this guide to install ADB & Fastboot drivers.
  • Disable Windows Firewall or Antivirus if you have enabled.
  • Follow this guide to the letter to avoid any mishap.

Disclaimer: Methods involved in flashing custom recoveries and rooting the device are highly custom. In case of a mishap, Techbeasts or Huawei may not be held responsible. Make sure that you’re doing everything at your own risk.

Unlock Google Pixel Bootloader

 

  1. Turn off your phone completely. Turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power Key. This will boot your phone into bootloader mode.
  2. Connect your phone to your PC now.
  3. Open Minimal ADB & Fastboot.exe from your desktop. If you do not have this file on your desktop, then go to your Windows installation drive i.e. C drive > Program Files > Minimal ADB & Fastboot > press and hold shift key and right click on an empty area within the folder >  open command window here. Mac users can see in the Mac guide for the file they will be opening.
  4. Now in the command window enter the following commands one by one.
    1. fastboot devices
      • This command will verify the connection of your device with your PC in fastboot mode.
    2. fastboot flashing unlock
    3. fastboot oem unlock 
      • This command will unlock the bootloader. As soon as you press the enter key after typing this command, you will get a message in your phone asking for the confirmation of bootloader unlocking. Use volume up & down keys to navigate through options and confirm unlocking.
    4. fastboot reboot
      • This command will reboot your phone. That’s all, disconnect your phone.

How to install DOI2 Stock firmware on At&t Note 4 N910A

At&t has started rolling out the official Marshmallow firmware for the Galaxy Note 4 N910A. The Note 4 for At&t was previously running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the build number ending in DO12. Android gives you the freedom of updating the device manually and playing it across the limits, so a lot of users had their devices updated to the beta Marshmallow firmwares from the official DO12 firmware. Now that the official update has started rolling in, you either have to acquire the official update files and flash them manually on your device or in case you want to get the official OTA hit your device then you need to flash the DOI2 update and wait for it.att-note-4-lollipop-flash-guide

Reverting back to DOI2 on your At&t Note 4 N910A is not easy as it seems. Instead of flashing a single firmware file via Odin, you need to flash multiple files in Odin. Once you are back to the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop DOI2 safe and secure, the OTA will eventually hit your device. In this guide, we are going to take you through a few steps in order to enable you to  install DOI2 Stock firmware on At&t Note 4 N910A.

  1. Download and install Samsung USB drivers on your PC.
  2. Download and extract Odin 3.12.3 on your PC to get Odin3.exe.
  3. Download the following 4 files and copy them on your desktop:
    1. CSC_ATT_N910AATT2DOI2
    2. CP_N910AUCU2DOI2
    3. BL_N910AUCU2DOI2
    4. AP_N910AUCU2DOI2
  1. Now open Odin3.exe on your PC.
  2. Put your N910A into download mode and connect it to your PC, to do so power it off first. Now turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power key and then press Volume Up to continue into download mode.
  3. Now connect your Note 4 to your PC.
  4. The ID:COM box in Odin should turn blue and the log should show “Added” message.
  5. The only boxes checked in Odin Options should be F.Reset.Time and Aut0-Reboot.
  6. Now click on the AP tab in Odin and select the AP file that you downloaded. Similarly, select the CP file in CP tab, BL file in BL tab and CSC file in CSC tab.
  7. Making sure that your phone is connected in download mode, the connection has been established properly, click the Start button.
  8. This will start downgrading your device from a beta firmware to the original Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware.
  9. Hold on for a few minutes, as your device restarts, it will be running on the said stock firmware.
  10. That’s all.

How to update At&t Note 4 N910A to stock Android Marshmallow

Make sure that your device is running on one of the build numbers listed below, and download the firmware according to the last 4 digits of your phone’s build number. Check the build number under Settings > About device > Build number.

*DOIx  should be your running firmware and EPH5 is the new Marshmallow firmware.

In case you are on DO12, you need to flash these files one by one to reach DO16 at the least and then flash DO16 to EPH5. The instructions listed below will remain same for all files.

  1. Copy the downloaded firmware.zip file to your phone’s sd card.
  2. Now boot your phone into recovery mode. To do so, turn it off completely first. Now turn it on by pressing and holding Volume + Home + Power buttons.
  3. Once your phone is in recovery mode, select “apply update from sd card” using volume rockers.
  4. Now select the firmware.zip file that you downloaded and in the next step select “yes”.
  5. It will start flashing the newly downloaded firmware. Once flashing ends, reboot your device.
  6. As your device boots up, you will find the Android Marshmallow EPH5 firmware running on it. That’s all.

Apple has released their new flagship devices iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus along with iOS 10.0.1 GM. In this post, I’ll tell you how to download and install iOS 10 / 10.0.1 GM on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch. This tutorial is for only those users who have Apple developer account, all other users they have to wait for the public version.

Download iOS 10

iOS 10 / 10.0.1 GM Download and Install For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch:

  • First you have to create a backup, I would suggest that create complete backup using iTunes.
  • Once the backup is created, you have to archive the backup. Goto iTunes > Preferences>right click on backup> Archive.
  • Open browser on your Pc, navigate to https://beta.apple.com and Sign up. Follow the instruction given on the screen.
  • Now open beta.apple.com/profile on your browser, Tap on the option to download the profile. Once the profile is downloaded it will open setting app on your Apple device, Tap on confirm the installation.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus carry the same design as the iPhone 6 family did. The iPhone(s) will now come in a new shiny Jet Black color alongside the Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold colors. The iPhone 7 measures at 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm (5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 in) and weighs at 138 gram and the iPhone 7 Plus measures at 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm (6.23 x 3.07 x 0.29 in) and weighs at 188 gram. iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus Display

The iPhone 7 equips a 4.7-inch display with 750 x 1334 pixels resolution and 326 ppi. The screen to body ratio is 65.6%. Apple has used the Ion-strengthened glass and the oleophobic coating to protect the display of this phone.

iPhone 7 Plus has the same 5.5-inch display as the iPhone 6 Plus. iPhone 7 Plus has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 401 ppi. The screen to body ratio on the iPhone 7 Plus is 67.7%. The protection on the screen of iPhone 7 Plus is same as that of the iPhone 7.

A new Quad-Core chip which is named as A-10 Fusion by Apple has been placed in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. 2 cores of this chip are responsible for high performance while the other two are responsible for running lighter tasks keeping the efficiency maximum. Apple’s very own performance controller will handle which core handles what tasks on these new phones. Both the iPhone(s) are equipped with a 2 GB RAM. Apple has skipped the 16 GB and 64 GB variants of its phones this time. The new iPhone(s) will come in 32/128/256 GB storage options. 

With the 7th iteration in the iPhone family, Apple says goodbye to the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The headphones now come with lighting connector that you can plug into the charging port. We don’t exactly know why Apple negated the 3.5 mm jack as the users will be able to plug-in either a charger or the headphones into the phone at one time. The iPhone now has stereo speakers replacing the 3.5 mm jack. Six core graphic setup is there to handle the games and applications which require the GPU on the phone. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus can produce high definition and intensive graphics in games and are also capable of editing RAW images in Adobe Lightroom.

Something very new we have on this part. iPhone now has a dual camera setup on its rear. The rear module on the iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with 12 MP dual shooter where one shooter has f/1.8 aperture and other one has f/2.8 aperture. The 2nd 12 MP lens contains a telephoto lens which is responsible for creating 2x optical zoom. In this post, I’ll tell you how you can fix iPhone won’t connect to WiFi, it’s a major issue because if we cannot use WiFi on our iPhone then i don’t it. I’ve collected all the possible methods which will help you fix WiFi issues on your iPhone. Let’s start the method to fix iPhone won’t connect to WiFi.

How To Fix iPhone / iPad Won’t Connect To Wi-Fi:

No.1 Turn off Wi-Fi networking:

  1. Go to settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on Privacy.
  3. Tap on Location Services.
  4. Now Choose System Services.
  5. Tap on Turn off Wi-Fi networking.

Once you have done this, turn off your device and wait for 1-2 minutes. Now Turn on your iPhone and try to connect with your Wifi network.

No.2: Reset network settings:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Tap on Reset.
  4. Tap on Reset Network Settings.

No. 3: Update iOS:

Sometimes the issue is at your Router end, In order to fix that you need to restart your router. Power off your router and also unplug it from PC, wait for 4-5 minutes then turn on your router and wait for it to boot up properly. Earlier this morning, LG released the V20 which is a successor of the V10. LG V20 is just another flagship from the South Korean giant after the LG G5. V20 brings all the new elements and the improvements that the users expected on a flagship phone of the year 2016, and also the improvements that the users wished for on the LG G5. The V20 looks beautiful, brings all the top-notch specifications of the present time, brings some of the unique features that you will not be able to find any other Android handset and a lot more. LG V20 Design and Build

LG V20 doesn’t follow the design language of the V10 or the G5, it follows the composite design language of both the aforementioned smartphones. LG has blended the design and build of the G5 and V10 together to build the V20. The V20 looks a bit like the G5 and also reflects the V10 design in it. The V20 is an all-aluminium smartphone which makes it look premium and also gives it an elite feel. LG has used the MIL-STD-810G standard for the shock resistant of its latest flagship.

LG V20 comes with a 5.7-inch QHD display with 513 ppi. An additional 2.1-inch ticker is placed right above this screen which acts as the “Always On” display and also is the 2nd display of this phone. The secondary display has a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. LG V20 runs on LG UX 5.0. Gorilla Glass 4 protection has been applied on the display of V20.

LG V20 Hardware

LG has managed to power up the V2o with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU accompanied by a Adreno 530 GPU and a RAM of 4 GB. The phone has internal storage of either 32 or 64 GB and also supports a microSD card up to 250 GB. A 3200 mAh battery is placed under the hood. The V20 rocks a USB Type-C port for USB connection and charging. LG V20 supports Quick Charge 3.0. LG V20 has 4 DAC’s for better sound quality. LG will ship the device with B&O headphones in some regions.

 

LG V20 Cameras

LG V20 bears a dual camera setup on its rear. The primary camera possesses 16 Megapixels with f/1.8 aperture alongside Optical Image Stabilisation, PDAF, Laser Autofocus, and Dual LED Flash. The secondary shooter possesses 8 Megapixels camera with f/2.4 aperture.  LG V20 is the very first smartphone which holds Qualcomm’s EIS solution based on gyroscopes. LG claims that the V20 can capture the videos with 24bit/48 KHz audio which will make the audio quality far better then current audio standards in the videos being recording using a phone’s camera.

LG V20 has a 5 MP shooter on the front which says goodbye to the dual camera setup on the front as seen on the LG V10. The camera has f/1.9 aperture.

LG V20 Software

LG V20 has become the very first Android smartphone to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. LG V20 runs LG UX 5.0 atop of the Android Nougat.

LG V20 Price & Rlease Date

LG V20 will find its way to the markets in Silver, Pink and Titan colors. The phone is expected to go on sale by the end of this month. There’s no official word on the pricing of this phone, but we should expect it to lie somewhere around $800.
