You can now update your Xperia ZR to Android 7.1 Nougat using the CyanogenMod 14.1 Custom ROM. CM 14.1 has already entered beta stage for the Xperia ZR. You can use it as a daily driver. Download Android 7.1 Nougat CM 14.1 ROM.zip file.
Download Gapps.zip [ARM- 7.1 – pico package] file for Android 7.1 Nougat.
Copy both the .zip files to your Xperia ZR’s internal or external SD card.
Boot your Xperia ZR into custom recovery. If you’ve installed dual recovery using the guide linked above, you should use TWRP recovery.
Now in TWRP recovery, perform a factory reset under wipe option.
Now get back to the main menu in TWRP recovery and select “Install”.
Under “Install”, scroll all the way down and choose ROM.zip file. Flash this file.

Sony Xperia V is among the Sony mid-rangers which will be remembered for long. The device was pulled out of curtains back in August, 2012. Update Sony Xperia V to Android 7.1 Nougat via CyanogenMod 14.1 Custom ROM

Download the CyanogenMod ROM.zip [ROM.zip] file.
Download Google Gapps.zip (ARM – Android 7.x micro or pico).
Place the ROM.zip file and Gapps.zip file on your phone’s internal or external sd card.
Download Android ADB and Fastboot drivers, follow our full guide here to make it easy.
Open the downloaded ROM.zip on your PC and extract the Boot.img file only.
Now place the kernel file that is boot.img file that you extracted from the zip folder in the fastboot folder that you downloaded from the guide linked above.
After placing the kernel file in the fastboot folder, open the fastboot folder. Press shift and then Right click on any empty area inside the folder, now select “Open command prompt here“. flash it using the command

Boot into CWM or Cyanogen recovery. To do so, turn off your device, now turn it on and quickly press volume up key, you will get the CWM interface.
In CWM wipe the factory data, cache and dalvik cache.
Now select “Install Zip>Choose Zip from Sd card / external Sd card”.
Select the ROM.zip file that your placed on your phone’s Sd card.
It should take a few mins to flash the ROM, now once again select “Install Zip>Choose Zip from Sd card / external Sd card”.
Choose the Gapps.zip file this time and flash it.
As soon as done flashing, clear cache and dalvik cache again.
Reboot system now, you should see the CM 14.1 ROM logo on the boot screen now, it may take upto 10 minutes in order to boot into home screen.

Sony Xperia SP users, there’s a good news for all of you. Android 7.0 Nougat CyanogenMod 14.1 custom ROM is finally available for the Xperia SP. The ROM is already in its beta stage and it’s continuously improving. You will find the mainstream features working right. It might have some bugs, but if you have had an experience with the custom ROMs in past, those bugs shouldn’t haunt you at all. The great thing here is that you get to enjoy the latest and greatest version of Android on your pretty old Xperia SP.

CyanogenMod 14 and CyanogenMod 14 are the aftermarket distribution firmwares of Android Nougat. Xperia SP’s official updates ended up on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Having Android 7.1 Nougat running on this device isn’t less then a blessing. Features like Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, Phone, Data, GPS, Camera are working fine. AOSP sensors and Gyroscope are also working. Your phone will also support MicroSD on this ROM. Video and Audio are also working. Early Preparations:

This custom ROM is only for Sony Xperia SP C5302 and C5303. Do not try this on any other device. Check your device’s model number in settings > about device.

How to install Android 7.1 Nougat on Xperia SP using CM 14.1

First of all you need a custom recovery on your device. And to install a custom recovery, you need to root your Xperia SP first of all.
- Root your Xperia SP using towelroot.
Once you’re rooted, download twrp-3.0.2.1 -huashan.img file and copy it to your phone’s SD card.
Now download and install Rashr – Flashtool on your phone.
Now open Rashr from the app drawer.
Tap “Select Recovery From Storage” option and select the copied twrp-3.0.2.1-huashan.img file.
Grant SuperSu right and follow on-screen instructions to flash the recovery.

Here’s how to install the ROM now.

Download cm-14.1-xxxxxxxx-UNOFFICIAL-BETA-huashan.zip file.
Download GApps.zip [micro-ARM-Android 7.0/7.1 Nougat].
Copy both the downloaded .zip files to your phone’s SD card.
Now turn off your phone completely. Now turn on your phone, as soon as Sony logo appears, press the volume up key to boot into recovery mode.
As you’ve booted in to the recovery mode, tap the “Wipe & Format Option” and perform a factory reset.
Go back to the main menu in recovery and tap “Install > locate the CM-14-ROM.zip file that you copied to your SD card.”.
Similarly, flash GApps for Android 7.1 Nougat using the “Install” option.
Once done, reboot your device.
It will now boot up running CyanogenMod 14.1 Android 7.1 Nougat. Thats all. Enjoy!

Download and extract Odin3 v3.12.3
Extract the downloaded firmware file to get the .tar.md5 file.

How to install Beta Android 7.0 Nougat XXU1ZPK4 on Galaxy S7

Make sure that you read the instructions listed above carefully and you’re all set to go ahead now.
Wipe your device complete in order to attain a neat installation. You may boot into the recovery mode and perform a factory data reset.
Open Odin3.exe.
Put your Galaxy S7 in download mode. To do so, turn it off and wait for 10 seconds. Turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key simultaneously, You should see a warning, press Volume Up to continue. In case this method doesn’t work for you, try one from this guide.
Connect your device to your PC.
As soon as Odin detects your phone, the ID:COM box should turn blue. Make sure that you’ve installed Samsung USB drivers before connecting.
For Odin 3.09 or 3.10.6 hit the AP tab. Select the firmware.tar.md5 or firmware.tar, that you downloaded and extracted above.
If you’re using Odin 3.07, you will select “PDA” tab instead of the AP tab, rest of the options remain untouched.
Make sure that the options selected in your Odin are exactly as shown in the pic.
Hit start and wait till the firmware flashing is complete, The flashing process box will turn green upon successful flashing.
Once the flashing process has been completed successfully, disconnect your device and reboot it manually.
Once the device boots up, checkout the new firmware now.
Your device will be running on official Android 7.0 Nougat firmware.
Once updated to stock, do not try to downgrade, or else you will result in messing up EFS partition of your device.

How To Install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow On Galaxy S3 Mini

Finally, the wait is over. We all have been anxiously waiting for the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for our beloved Galaxy S3 Mini and it’s finally here. Of-course we are not talking about the official firmware here, we are talking about a custom ROM. Previously, the custom ROMs based on Android KitKat and Lollipop didn’t take long for the S3 Mini to come out. The Marshmallow wait was quite long. The new Marshmallow firmware for the S3 Mini is based on CyanogenMod 13 custom ROM.

CyanogenMod 13 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for the S3 Mini has been ported from a custom ROM of the Galaxy Ace 2. The ROM has got most of the mainstream features like WiFi, Bluetooth, RIL, Camera, Audio/Video working fine. You might find a few bugs in the ROM, and some features will not work. Getting Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on an old and under-powered device like the S3 Mini is not less then a blessing so those bugs shouldn’t feel itchy in the first place.

Early Preparations

This ROM is only for Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190. Do not try this on any other device, please check your device’s model in Settings > About Device > Model.

Your device’s battery should be charged at least over 60%. This is highly recommended in order to prevent any power issues during the flashing process.
Make sure that you backup your important media content, Contacts, Call Logs & Messages. This is highly recommended just in case something goes wrong and you need to reset your phone.
If you already have rooted your device, use Titanium Backup to back up all your important apps + system data.
Also if you are using a custom recovery, it is recommended that you backup your current system using that first. [Just for the sake of safety]. Here’s our full Nandroid Backup guide.
You will have to go through Data Wipes during installation of this ROM, so make sure that you have backed up all the mentioned data.
Make an EFS backup of your phone before you flash this ROM.
You need enough confidence to flash this ROM.
Alright! Go ahead and flash the custom firmware, follow this guide to the letter.

How To Install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow On Galaxy S3 Mini Using CM 13 Custom ROM

Download cm-13.0-20161004-PORT-golden.zip file.
Download Gapps.zip file [arm – 6.0/6.0.1] for CM 13.
Connect your phone to your PC now.
Copy the both the .zip files to the storage of your phone.
Now disconnect your phone and turn it off complete.
Boot into TWRP recovery now, in order to do so, turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key. You should see the recovery mode in a while.
Now in TWRP recovery, wipe cache, factory data reset and advanced options > dalvik cache.
After wiping all these three, select “Install” option.
Now select “Install > Choose Zip from SD card > Select cm-13.0-xxxxxxx-golden.zip file > Yes”.
This will flash the ROM in your phone, once done get back to the main menu in recovery.
Now once again select “Install > Choose Zip from SD card > Select Gapps.zip file > Yes”
This will flash the Gapps in your phone.
Reboot your device.
You should see the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow running on your device in a while.
That’s all!

First boot may take up to 10 minutes, you may not worry if it’s taking that much long. In case it’s taking too long, you may boot into TWRP recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot your device as it may fix the issue. In case your device is having issues, you may return to your old system using the Nandroid backup or follow our guide here to install stock firmware.
