Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat on Galaxy S II using unofficial CM 11

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat CM 11 Custom ROM on Galaxy S2 GT-I9100:

      1. Copy both the downloaded .zip files to your phone’s SD card [internal or external].
      2. Boot into CWM recovery. To do so, turn off your device completely. Now turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key. You should see the CWM recovery interface now.
      3. Now in CWM wipe cache , and advanced > dalvik cache and return to CWM main menu.
      4. In CWM select “Install Zip > Choose Zip from SD card > Select ROM.zip  file” and flash it.
      5. After flashing ROM, once again select “Install Zip > Choose Zip from SD card > Select Gapps.zip file” and flash it.
      6. Wait or the flashing process to finish.
      7. As soon as it’s done Reboot your device.
      8. You should see the CM logo now. It may take up to 10 minutes on the very first boot so keep patience.
      9. Phewww! that’s all. Check out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat on your GS2 now.

Troubleshooting:

In case your device is stuck at CM logo and not going ahead of it, boot into CWM and wipe cache and dalvik cache and try again. It should work fine. In case the ROM is not working fine and you need your old system back, restore your system using CWM recovery if you backed it up previously or simply flash latest stock firmware using our guide here.
