- In the Fastboot Window click on “Select Kernel to Flash” and select the Boot.img file that you just downloaded.
- Follow the on screen instructions, and remove your device from your PC as soon as the kernel gets flashed.
Flash Android 4.4.2 KitKat CM 11 Custom ROM:
- Download Android 4.4.2 KitKat CM 11 Custom ROM.
- Download Gapps for Android 4.4 KitKat.
- Place both the downloaded .zip files on your phone’s SD card.
- Boot into CWM recovery, to do so, turn off your device, now turn it on and as soon as it boots up, press volume down button quickly and continuously.
- In CWM recovery wipe cache, and advanced > wipe dalvik cache.
- Now select “Install Zip > Choose Zip from SD card > Select ROM .zip file” and proceed with the installation.
- As soon as the installation is done, once again select “Install Zip > Choose Zip from SD card > Select Gapps.zip file this time” and proceed with the installation.
- Reboot your device.
- Phewwww! That’s all, you should see the CM logo on the boot screen now. The first boot may take up to 10 minutes, so keep patience while it starts up.

My Font Cam does not work
@thushanthaprithiraj:disqus sorry, no idea about a custom ROM. That might be a bug in this ROM and you may have to go back to the stock ROM.
I’m doing exactly as the article says. I’ve installed CWM Recovery. Placed both the files in the SD card. When I try to flash the ROM in the .zip format after wiping data and cache, I can’t install it. It says:
E:Error in /sdcard/ *.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Can you help me with that?
@disqus_5xitqCIdrn:disqus you will have to use a latest recovery for that.. this recovery won’t work.
