  1. On your Samsung Phone, go to Google Play Store.
  2. In the Play Store, tap the menu button on the top-left corner.
  3. Now open My apps & games.
  4. Tap “Installed” to access the apps installed on your phone.
  5. Find Facebook and click on it to open it within the Play Store.
  6. Now on the Facebook page in Play Store, tap the three-dotted button on the top-right corner to open its options.
  7. You will see “Enable auto update” which will be ticked by default.
  8. Tap the checkbox to disable the auto update feature now.
  9. Automatic Facebook updates will be disabled on your phone now. You can enable it anytime using the same method.

    Facebook ignores Play Store !

    On Samsung S8, at least, FB does NOT have an ‘update’ option in Settings.
