Huawei announced the Mate 30 family a couple of days ago at an exclusive event in Germany.
The Mate 30 lineup comes with 4 smartphones in total. We have the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, Huawei Mate 30 Pro, Mate 30, and the Mate 30 Lite. The Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are out immediately while the other two will take some time.
Mate 30
The Huawei Mate 30 comes in with a 6.62-inches OLED display. The screen-tob-body ratio is 19:9. It’s got a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with 389 ppi. The Mate 30 is protected by glass on the front and back. It has IP53 certification which makes it dust and splash resistant.
The Mate 30 is powered by the latest Kirin 990 SoC. It is based on the 7nm+ process. Mate 30 has a RAM of 6 or 8GB with an internal storage of 128 or 256GB. This is the UFS 3.0 storage standard.
In the camera department, the Mate 30 has three of them at the back. It has the main camera of 40MP, an 8MP telephoto, and a 16MP ultrawide camera. On the front, it has a 24MP camera and a 3D TOF sensor.
The Mate 30 also has a headphone jack. It has an on-screen fingerprint scanner. The battery capacity of this handset is 4200 mAh and it supports 40W fast charging and 27W wireless charging.
Mate 30 Pro
Huawei Mate 30 Pro, on the other hand, has a 6.53-inches OLED screen. The screen-to-body ratio of this phone is similar to the Mate 30. Resolution of the Mate 30 Pro is 1176 x 2400 pixels and its PPI is 409. Mate 30 Pro has the Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back.
It’s also powered by the Kirin 990 processor. The Mate 30 Pro has a RAM of 8GB and internal storage of 128 or 256GB.
In the camera department, the Mate 30 Pro has got 4 at the back. It has the main camera of 40MP, an 8MP telephoto shooter, and a 40MP ultrawide camera. Mate 30 Pro supports 8K videos from its rear camera. On the front, it has a 32MP camera and a 3D TOF camera as well.
The battery capacity of Mate 30 Pro is 4500 mAh. It also supports 40W fast charging and 27W wireless charging.
