OnePlus 2’s last update was the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device couldn’t taste Android Nougat, and it won’t get the Android Oreo update either. OnePlus 2 was released back in the year 2015. This device sported 5.5-inch full HD display. OnePlus powered this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 GPU and Adreno 430 GPU. OnePlus 2 was also among the devices which come with a heavy spec-sheet and an affordable price tag. Since OnePlus 2 won’t be getting any further update of the Android OS, the only option you can go with to power up your phone with the brand new Android OS is by means of a custom ROM.

If you don’t already know about LineageOS, it’s important to know that it’s the same old CyanogenMod custom ROM. Since CM shut down, it was renamed to LineageOS and its development has taken new swings since then. LineageOS 15 is based on the Android Oreo firmware. It’s the most widely distributed aftermarket version of Android Oreo at the moment.
