Huawei has released a large number of devices this year, nearly all of them coming with dual camera hardware and with specifications that will greatly impress the audience. However, for the security front, the company can only rely on its fingerprint sensors for the time being. For 2018, things are going to be looking more advanced from all aspects because the Huawei P11 has been rumored to come with a camera upgrade that will take on the iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera.

Huawei P11 could have a feature that will easily compete against Apple’s TrueDepth Camera

Industry experts have claimed that Apple’s TrueDepth camera technology is 2-3 years ahead of the competition and the latest rumor details that the Huawei P11 might be able to reduce this gap severely. The company’s upcoming flagship, which by the way might be unveiled during MWC 2018 to take on the Galaxy S9 and LG G7 might also be the first smartphone to get a triple-camera lens system at the back.

Instead of getting dual cameras that have now become a common occurrence in smartphones, the Huawei P11 could see another lens added for superior photography and videography. A separate rumor claims that the smartphone might feature 5x optical zoom, beating out the other competitors, which are still releasing phones that come with 2x optical zoom.

The security features added in the Huawei P11 could give it Face ID-like authentication levels, which you can evidently see if you have purchased an iPhone X. When the Honor V10 was getting announced, Huawei also demonstrated a new animoji of its own and claimed that it would outright beat the features the iPhone X’s animoji.

How much of this rumor is true, we will find out during the official unveiling of the Huawei P11. However, the company has not officially set foot on American soil and it is still the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, so that might still mean something to a lot of people.
