In China, the government controls everything. It controls the information that floats through the users. It also controls the right to information. Freedom of speech is not something that you would find in China. It is totally up to the government what it allows and what it doesn’t. So far, the Chinese government has banned all popular social media and messaging platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and many others. The ban on WhatsApp definitely disturbed a lot of users as it was the most popular mean of communication.
