Samsung could be maintaining the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio, according to these HTML5 tests. While this might signal to us that the company is not using a new design, previous leaks have also shown that buyers could more than likely be waiting to get their hands on the Galaxy S9+ instead.

Galaxy S9 will have the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio, signaling no change to its design

In the HTMl5 test, you can clearly see the resolution as 360 x 740, which results in an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. However, it would be wise to choose the Galaxy S9+ instead, which will also feature the same aspect ratio but will come with better hardware specifications. Thanks to a Geekbench benchmarking result, which showed a Snapdragon 845, the flagship is able to post very high scores. It will also get 6GB of RAM, which is the same amount present in the Galaxy Note 8.

In comparison, the Galaxy S9 has been rumored to come with just 4GB of RAM, so you already have a reason to upgrade to the bigger screen flagship. The sad part about this news is that the fingerprint scanner is still going to be present at the back but since it will be located below the camera lens, the average user will easily be able to access the scanner.

The design might not be the most encouraging thing about the Galaxy S9+ because earlier leaked renders provided a hint at the design of the Galaxy S9+ and it left us devastated that we will not be able to see thinner bezels when compared to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

As for the chipset, the Exynos 9810 powering the two phones will be made on the more advanced and efficient 10nm LPP process, while for American customers, you will get the Snapdragon 845 version instead.

The 18.5:9 aspect ratio is a fair choice for most users, and the Super AMOLED display will look extremely bright and beautiful on both phones.
