It is going to be present on your smartphone and will be released in the form of an Android or iOS application next year. The game is going to be called ‘My Tamagotchi Forever’ and will be free to play.
However, it will most likely feature in-app purchases to help you progress with your virtual pet, although we are sure that the same thing is going to be achieved using the longer and more painful route. Just like the virtual pet you had with you ages ago, you will have to carry out the same basic tasks using the Android app.
This means that you will need to play with it, feed it and clean it up. Also, make sure that your pet has had plenty of rest. The last thing you want is for all of that effort to go wasted with your pet getting expired. You will also be able to interact with other Tamagotchi characters, which suggests that there might be some multiplayer elements present in the game.
Though there aren’t many details provided, the AR feature is going to be there; we just have to wait and see what this feature is and how it will affect our gameplay.
