One of the most buzz worthy smartphones at the Mobile World Congress after the Nokia 3310 has been Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Sony no doubt produces great smartphones,  but the problem is that they have been unable to emerge as the innovative market leaders. But this may very well change with Xperia XZ Premium. The smartphone has one of the best specs at the moment an has been awarded as the ‘Best New Smartphone of 2017′.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the second smartphone to have a 4K display. Under the hood the device is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which is a quite a powerful chipset as it has been produced using the 10nm fabrication process. This enhances the processing and makes the chipset 20% more energy efficient than its processor. In addition, the star feature of the device is its stunning camera. Xperia XZ Premium comes with a 19MP camera with Motion Eye technology that allows you to make videos in slow motion in 960 fps.

There aren’t visible design changes, Sony has went with the streamlined designed that they use for the Xperia devices. The smartphone will arrive in the markets in late spring, as Samsung has gotten hold of the earlier supply of Snapdragon 835. This was one of the reasons that LG G6 did not make use of this processor. Sony will have to effectively market the unique features that its smartphone has. Along with that Sony needs to ensure that their brand is perceived as hip and cool to appeal to the younger generation. It will be interesting to see how Sony works on their marketing strategy to ensure high sales.
