Install Android 9.0 Pie based Lineage OS 16 ROM for HTC One M8/M8 Dual

HTC One M8 is one of the most impressive devices the Taiwanese manufacturer has ever manufactured. The HTC One M8/M8 Dual devices were launched with Android 4.4.x KitKat but they are still getting all the love from developers. Not long from the Android 9.0 Pie launch, one of the XDA developers has made a working Lineage OS 16 ROM for HTC One M8/M8 Dual smartphones. The ROM is still in the early stages of development but it’s a great daily driver. So, if you want to taste some of the tasty Pie, follow the below tutorial to install it on your device.

The HTC One M8/M8 Dual smartphones were launched way back in 2014 but they still have some powerful hardware to run Android 9.0 Pie ROMs. Both the devices run on Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2GB of RAM and posses a beautiful Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display. The graphics needs of the devices are backed by Adreno 330 GPU. The devices launched with Android 4.4 KitKat and later got updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But we seriously doubt HTC releases another update for these devices. So, you’ll have to rely on custom ROMs to get the latest software updates for your devices.
