South Korean giants are the hot topic in the news these days. Samsung, the world leader in the Mobile segment is gearing up for the launch of its Galaxy Note 9. We are only 7 days away from the official unveiling of the Galaxy Note 9. While Samsung pulls the curtains off from its device, the other South Korean giant, LG, is also preparing its flagship devices. LG has been quietly working on its upcoming phones. LG is most likely to launch the LG V40 after Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9. However, there is a twist in the story now. A new LG device has mysteriously appeared online. The new LG device goes by the codename “Judypn”, which is clearly not the codename of the LG V40.Judypn, A Mysterious LG smartphone with Snapdragon 845 Appears Online

According to the information obtained by XDA developers, who analyzed the leaked firmware of Judypn, this device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Upon their analysis, the XDA developers also found that the firmware was incomplete which gives birth to the thoughts that this device might be the LG V40. The codename of this phone is what gives a lot of hints about this device. Here is how the codename makes this phone interesting.

The LG G7 ThingQ is codenamed Judyln. The phone makes the use of an LCD and it has a notch. Thus the words “ln” in the name depict LCD and notch. On the other hand, the LG V35 ThinQ houses a POLED display and doesn’t have a noch. The device is codenamed Judyp and the word “P” here means POLED. Interestingly, the mysterious LG device will also have a POLED display and the words “PN” in the codename seem to leave a hint towards a POLED display with a notch. Here is the breakdown for easy understanding.

  • LG G7 ThinQ = Judyln = LCD + Notch
  • LG V35 ThinQ = Judyp = POLED
  • Mysterious LG Phone = Judypn = POLED + Notch

The LG V40 will come after 1 month of the Galaxy Note 9. It is unclear whether the Judypn is the LG V40 or some other device. The LG V40 already has a codename i.e. storm. While you read this information, don’t forget to taste a pinch of salt as what we are talking about might not stand true tomorrow.
