Before we head towards the ROM installation, let’s take a look at the legendary Galaxy Note 3’s offerings. The device was released by Samsung back in 2013. The Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7-inch display having 1080p resolution. Samsung used Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the screen. Galaxy Note 3 was found running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or the Exynos 5420 Octa variant. The Galaxy Note 3 had a RAM of 3GB and its internal storage was 32GB. External microSD card is present on this phone. Note 3 had a 13MP camera on its back and a 2MP camera on the front. A whopping 3200 mAh battery is placed inside. Galaxy Note 3 ran on Android Jelly Bean out of the box. The phone was updated to Android Lollipop and that’s where its official updates ended.

After the Android Lollipop, the phone has been surviving only because of custom ROMs. Galaxy Note 3 was updated to Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat via custom ROMs. Now that we have the Android Oreo out, the custom ROMs will also help to update Galaxy Note 3 to Android Oreo.

Resurrection Remix is based on the AOSP sources. It happens to be one of the best custom ROMs because it’s just not a plain custom ROM. Resurrection Remix has loads of goodies to offer. The ROM comes with its very own list of features. All the UI elements are highly customizable in this ROM. For example, you can update the notifications panel to look the way you want. The lock screen can be modified too. You can add your favorite elements to the status bar of the phone and much more. So, the Resurrection Remix gives you a taste of Vanilla Android with a lot of goodies on top.
