Instagram: Disable Show Activity Status

Instagram added a new feature which is called Show Activity Status. In this Post, we’ll tell you how you can disable show activity status on Instagram.

We’ve seen this feature on WhatsApp. It works the same way as last seen status works on WhatsApp. Open DM on your Instagram and you’ll see the activity status right beneath the username. You can easily check when the last time recipient used Instagram. Moreover, it will show you how long in hours, days or weeks your contact was active. Honestly, the original Instagram was way better than this one.

Not everyone wants that, Privacy is a thing everybody takes seriously. Let’s turn off Show Activity Status on Instagram.

Instagram: Disable Show Activity Status:

Since it’s a built-in feature that means we can disable/turn off Instagram Show Activity Status using the settings. Heed, the instructions below in order to Turn off Show Activity Status on Instagram.

Turn off Show Activity Status on Instagram:

Step1: Open Instagram App on your iOS or Android device.

Step2: Tap on your profile icon.

Step3: Tap on the Setting Icon.

Step4: Scroll down, When you see Show Activity Status, Toggle it to turn off.

Now keep that mind, Once you have turned off the Show Activity Status you cannot see anyone others status either. As my point of view, it’s the way it should be. If anytime later you want to Turn on Activity status feature. Heed the instructions below.

Step1: Open Instagram App on your iOS or Android device.

Step2: Tap on your profile icon.

Step3: Tap on the Setting Icon.

Step4: Scroll down, When you see Show Activity Status, Toggle it to turn on.
