HTC has an event scheduled on 12th January for the unveiling of HTC U Ultra and HTC U Pay. Well, it seems as if both the devices specs and images have leaked ahead of their event. A tipster at Weibo @Upleaks has dished out all the details along with the alleged images for these smartphones.

HTC U Ultra which is code named HTC Ocean, will be a 6-inch phablet with a 1440 x 2560 resolution display. In addition it will be equipped by Qualacomm Snapdragon 835 SoC alongside a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which most probably will be expandable. The Aderno 540 GPU will be powering the graphics for the device. The smartphone will come with a dual camera setup having 13 MP and 12 MP respectively with a 16 MP selfie shooter for taking quality images and video calls. A 4,000 mAh batter will power the smartphone and the fingerprint scanner will be found at the rear of the device. This is expected to be HTC’s flagship for the year.

The second smartphone whose details leaked is the HTC U Pay. The HTC U Pay will have a 5.2 inch 1080 x 1920 resolution display. Under the hood, the MediaTek MT6755 will power the device. The smartphone will have a 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. This smartphone will not have the dual camera setup and instead have a 16MP main and front facing camera. HTC’s upcoming smartphones seem to focus on improving quality of the front facing camera which is a great thing with increasing video calls and live video options on Instagram and Facebook. The fingerprint scanner will be embedded in the home button of the device.

While looking and reviewing the features of both the HTC smartphones one should keep in mind that just before the unveiling dates of smartphones, the rumor mills go crazy. At the moment there is no confirmation of whether the devices will come with the above stated specs or not. There is one detail that does sound suspicious, Snapdragon 835 will be used for the first time with Galaxy S8 devices, so there is not way that HTC U Ultra will be making use of this SoC. Well the event is just two days ahead, we cannot wait to see what HTC has in-store for us.
