Google Assistant making its way to LG G6? New promo hints at “More Intelligence”

LG is pulling up all stops to market LG G6, their new flagship that will be announced on 26 February at the MWC. They have sent out another invitation for the event which hints at LG G6 being “Less Artificial, More Intelligence“. LG sent out another promo earlier this week which talked about the display saying ‘Big Screen, That Fits‘. Now the new promo hints at a digital AI assistant making its way on board LG G6. According to earlier speculations LG G6 will make use of Google’s AI, Google Assistant and it will be the first device apart from the Pixel smartphones to have that AI.

‘AI’ seems to be the buzz word in the tech world at the moment and everyone is trying to jump that bandwagon. At the CES this year, companies weer showing off their ‘smart’ products which had a AI on board. Amazon digital assistant Alexa was found in products like refrigerators. In the smartphone industry this term is no different, if we say that 2017 is the year of AI assistants then it would not be wrong. Google with Pixel and Pixel XL introduced Google Assistant, HTC with their new smartphone HTC U Ultra introduced a smart AI HTC Sense Companion. Samsung will be introducing their own digital assistant Bixby along side Samsung Hello. Now LG is also joining the club and introducing with LG G6 ‘The Next Generation Smartphone‘.

LG this time around has employed a very aggressive marketing strategy in which they have been feeding us crumbs for the last few months. First we got to see the promo of the ‘Ideal Smartphone‘, then taking a direct jab at their arc rivals Samsung, claimed how their batteries will not over heat. Afterwards the company sent out their first invite for the MWC to ‘See More, Play More’, this was about the unusual aspect ratio of 18:9 that has been used for the LG G6 display. Then the second invitation was about ‘Something Big, That Fits‘ and now the third one of ‘More Intelligence’. Well it sure seems like LG is not leaving anything to chance. With just a few days left, we are curious as to what LG will reveal next.
