New images show alleged successor to Xperia XZ

Sony has already rolled out invitation for their MWC event which will take place on 27th February. In that the company invites ‘you to see the latest innovations unveiled’. According to earlier reports Sony will be announcing 5 new Xperia devices at the event and one of them will be a successor to Xperia XZ. New images of what seems to be new Xperia XZ device have popped up adding to the speculation that it is on its way to MWC.

There isn’t much to go by in these images as they show off the alleged Xperia XZ successor with other Xperia devices. In the first image seen above, the handset at the bottom right corner is believed to be Xperia XZ2, which has a smaller display in comparison with the device it is placed with. We cannot speculate whether Xperia XZ2 will have a smaller display than Xperia XZ 5.2-inch display.

The only other information that can be seen in the images is that the device will have a 4 GB RAM which is an upgrade from Xperia XZ which has  3GB RAM. If we just go by this detail then Xperia XZ2 is the device with the code named Keyaki. A few days ago code names of five Sony devices came to light and one of the devices has a 4GB RAM. The rest of the specs there suggest that the Xperi XZ2 code named Keyaki  Full HD display and will be powered be a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.

As the leaked images do not provide any details, we cannot say much about the rest of the devices. With just a few weeks left to the MWC we are excited to see what else Sony will bring to the show on 27th February.
