Galaxy S9 rumored to get a 89-90 percent screen

It is quite obvious that the Galaxy S9 will be a device that will be starstruck in comparison to the Galaxy S8. With the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 all coming with reduced bezels, a rumor states that Samsung will be aiming to reduce those bezels even further with the Galaxy S9 announcement.

Unfortunately, the fingerprint reader is still going to be present at the back. There are rumors that an in-display sensor is going to debut with the release of the Note 9 so if you’re desperately waiting for this technology, we recommend that you wait for the Galaxy Note 9 later in 2018.

According to a leaked phone case render, the fingerprint reader positioning on the Galaxy S9 is still going to be at the back, but at a much easier location to reach with your finger.

These reduced bezels will exemplify the look of the smartphone more than how gorgeous the Galaxy S8 looked so buyers will have a better excuse for making the purchase down the road.

As for the hardware, the flagship will feature an Exynos 9810 chipset that is made on the 10nm FinFET technology, plus upgraded custom-made Samsung processing cores for better performance.

The Galaxy S9 has also been rumored to come with improved facial recognition although it is yet to be confirmed if the phone is going to be getting 3D sensing technologies to rival the iPhone X.

A faster iris scanner that will not take ages to unlock the device might also be present so it is not just the hardware doing all the walking in the Galaxy S9. The reason why these improvements are expected to take place is that there is a rumor going around that the chipset inside the smartphone will feature its own AI engine.

We highly recommend checking out our featured roundup of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, because in this way you will get to know more of what to expect from these phones.
