ZTE is in back in action. Just after unveiling their flagship, the ZTE Axon 9 Pro, the company has now launched the ZTE Nubia Z18. The phone comes with a powerful hardware and a great looking design. ZTE Nubia Z18 has got everything that the smartphone makers have been trying to put in their phones these days.
At first, the ZTE Nubia Z18 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU. It has the Adreno 640 GPU to accompany its SoC. The phone comes in two offerings. The users can either get the 6GB version with a RAM of 6GB or the 128GB version with a RAM of 128GB. There is no external card slot on this phone.
ZTE Nubia Z18 has a large 5.99-inch IPS LCD display. The company has deployed a waterdrop notch on the phone that we have already seen on the Essential Phone and Oppo’s R17 handsets. The chin on the bottom is reasonably small. ZTE Nubia Z18’s display has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It has a whopping 3,450 mAh battery under the hood. This phone also supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0.
ZTE has also mentioned the Neo Power Temperature Control system. We are not sure what this system is, but from what its name suggests, it definitely has something to do with keeping this device cool during high resource usage.
The ZTE Nubia Z18 has an 8MP shooter on the front with f/2.0 aperture. There is a dual camera system at the back. One shooter at the back has a 16MP sensor with f/1.6 aperture. The other shooter at the back has a 24MP sensor with the f/1.6 aperture as well. This camera features the advanced scene recognition and 960FPS slow-mo video recording. Both the front and rear cameras have got the portrait mode.
Overall, the ZTE Nubia Z18 is a sturdy phone with the kind of looks that the users would cherish. The phone is already up for pre-order in China at CNY 2,799 for the 6GB/64GB variant. The 8GB/128GB variant is up for CNY 3,299. The pricetags translate to $410 and $483 respectively. The phone is available in Black and Red colors. ZTE is also offering a special variant called the Vincent Van Gogh edition which is up for CNY 3,599 or $527.
