Updating Xiaomi Mi 4 to Android 9 Pie AOSP Custom ROM

  1. Turn off your Mi 4 completely.
  2. Now turn on the Mi 4 in TWRP recovery mode.
  3. In TWRP, click on Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache, and System > Swipe screen to wipe.
  4. Go back to the main menu in TWRP now.
  5. Click on Install > Install Zip > Locate ROM.zip file and flash it.
  6. Similarly, flash the Gapps.zip file.
  7. Reboot into the system now. Your Mi 4 will be running on Android Pie in a few minutes.
