Viber introduces Secret Messages

Constant innovation, testing and introducing new images is imperative for any app to survive in today’s hyper-competitive world. Keeping this in perspective, Viber has introduced Secret Messages to their app. This feature allows you to set the time for a specific image which will self-destruct in the give time after the receiver opens the message.

Well this feature is quite popular and variations of it can be found in different other social apps too. In SnapChat you can see an image and then it is gone, same goes for Instagram Stories in which the images and videos can only be looked up for 24 hours and then the Secret Conversation feature in Facebook Messenger which allows you to set the timer and select till how long will a message appear to the receiver. Well now Viber has also jumped the bandwagon and introduced this option.

How this feature works is quite simple, either select an image from the Gallery or take one from the Viber camera. Then select for how long will the message be visible to the receiver after it is opened. The images will be blurred until tapped and the user will only be able to see them once before they self-destruct. Want to share some embarrassing pics, but don’t want to leave any traced behind, well then this feature is just what you needed.
