Samsung followed a new design language with the launch of the Galaxy S6. The new design language worked out well for Samsung. The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge brought in a lot of success for the manufacturer. Galaxy S6, however, was the less sold of the two devices. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge had the same hardware specifications. The difference was in the display department which is also obvious from the naming convention of these devices.
The Galaxy S6 sported a 5.1-inch QHD display protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The Galaxy S6 was powered by Exynos 7420 CPU and a RAM of 3GB. The internal storage of this device was 32GB or 64GB. Samsung didn’t add a microSD card slot to this device. At the back, this phone had a 16MP shooter and on the front, it had a 5MP shooter. Galaxy S6 has a 2,550 mAh battery placed inside. The phone ran on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box. At the moment, this device is running on Android Nougat. It’s still unclear whether Samsung will update this phone to Android Oreo or not.
