Prerequisites

1. This guide is only for the Galaxy S6 G920F, G920I, G920S, G920K, G920L. Do not try it on any other phone.
2. Charge your phone up to 50% to avoid a mishap during flashing.
3. Backup contacts, call logs, SMS messages and media content. This ROM will potentially wipe your phone.
4. Flash the latest TWRP custom recovery on your phone.
5. Backup Nandroid and EFS as well.

How to update Galaxy S6 to Android Oreo Resurrection Remix

1. Copy the ROM and Gapps.zip files to your phone’s storage.
2. Turn off your phone now. Press and hold Volume Up + Power + Home button to boot into TWRP recovery now.
3. Now in TWRP, click on Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Cache, Dalvik Cache, System and Data > Swipe screen to wipe.
4. Go back to main menu in TWRP and click on Install > Install Zip > Locate Resurrection Remix.zip file and flash it.
5. Similarly, go back again, Install > Install Zip > Locate GApps.zip file and flash it.
6. Now once again, go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Cache & Dalvik Cache > Swipe screen to wipe.
7. Reboot into the system now. First boot can take up to 10 minutes. Once your phone boots up, you will find Resurrection Remix running on it.
