Students in France cannot use personal Smartphones and Tablets in school anymore

French lawmakers on Monday passed a bill which will keep the students from using their smartphones, tablets and other smart devices within the premsis of the schools. This action has been taken in order to decrease the screentime of the students. Lately, the screentime has been negatively effecting the teenagers in many parts of the world. France takes a step ahead to curb this growing problem.

Previously, the french students were allowed to use their smart devices in the breaks between the classes. They were only not allowed to use any smartphone while a class is going on. However, this new move by the lawmakers in France will bar the students from using it between the classes as well.

The legislations states that all the teenagers under the age of 15 will be restricted from bringing their phones into the school or they will have to keep their devices turned off throughout the school timings.

Lately, many countries have been trying hard to come up with a solution to tackle this issue. The consistent use of mobile phones in the classes does not let a student focus on what’s going on in the class. While this greatly affects the educational activities, it leaves very negative effects on the health of a student as well. Screen time can leave an impact on the eyesight of the students as well as diverting the mind towards stress.

A similar problem is also going on in the offices where employees do not pay complete attention to the work. They stay connected with their social media profiles and prefer spending the most amount of their time while talking to their friends or going through the updates.

The latest development in France is currently being warmly accepted all around the world. It is expected that other countries will come up with similar solutions pretty soon.
