Sony made quite a splash at the Mobile World Congress with its flagship smartphone, Sony Xperia XZ Premium. It is the camera specs and the powerful SoC that made the smartphone standout won the device the award of the Best New Smartphone. The smartphone is up for pre-order at different online retailers in UK and is expected to ship in the June.
One of the major reasons that Sony will be shipping the smartphone in June is the processor that the company has used, The smartphone makes use of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC, that has been produced using the 10nm process. A report out last week mentioned that the yield of 10nm chipsets is low which is delaying the flagships that it will be used in. Samsung’s flagship will also be arriving in the market later than its schedule on April 28th.
The smartphone in UK is up for pe-order with three retailers, Unlocked, Amazon and Clove. You can go online on any of the sites and place your order, so when the smartphone launches, you will get your hands on it. On Unlocked the smartphone retails at £640, while Amazon and Clove list it at £650. Moreover, Unlocked has both colored variants, Deepsea Black and Luminious Chrome, while the other two retailers just have the Deepsea Black variant.
