Screen protector renders for Samsung Galaxy S8 leak confirm minimal bezels

Samsung‘s upcoming flagship is one of most anticipated devices of the year and everyday we get to hear some new information. To date we have seen renders, schematics and even alleged live images of Galaxy S8 . Samsung will be announcing two variants of the new flagship: Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Today we have Screen Protector Renders for Samsung Galaxy S8 which confirm a few key details which we have seen earlier.

The screen protector renders confirm  the minimal bezels which we have seen earlier in the front panels that leaked and along with that a partial image that we got to see of the device. Both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will have a dual edge display. There will no home button and this has given way to an increased screen-to-body ratio. This is one of the major design changes that we will be looking at in Galaxy S8. The increased display is bound to give users a true edge to edge display. At the top there are six cutouts, four of which are for camera, Iris scanner, speaker and proximity sensor. Are any new sensors in work and that is what the two additional slots are for?

In terms of specifications, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature a 5.2-inch and 6.2-inch display. Under the hood the smartphones will be equipped with Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 processor, which will be paired with 4GB RAM. Reports out a few weeks back suggest that a 6GB RAM variant will be there for the Asian markets. Galaxy S8 will be powered by 3000mAh battery and Galaxy S8 Plus will have 3500mAh battery. In addition, Bixby, Samsung’s AI assistant will also be making a debut in the devices.

Samsung will be announcing Galaxy S8 on 29th March but a sneak peak of the device will be shown in the promo at the MWC 2017 on 26th February. Just like other information seen earlier, take this with a pinch of salt as things at times change in the final product.
